Not expecting any announcements/news on the takeover whatsoever on Monday. It'll happen if/when it's all finalised. If it doesn't happen before Sept 1st, at least we know where we stand.

Still can't tackle though. Still far too rash. Still gives loads of free kicks away in dangerous positions. He only looks better because the opposition are poorer. He might do a decent job for the time being but he's no better than he was when he joined us.

What happens if we go down again? Sadly its not beyond on the realms of possibility the way the depth of our squad is diminishing. If we go down then he loses the lot. Judging by the standard of the supposed 'better' teams we've played and beaten tough I can't see us going down. It's like he's flogging a Championship team on the bones of it's arse now. In a years time he'll stll be selling a Championship team on the bones of it's arse but with a smaller wage bill and no overdraft. Plus it gives him the tiny chance to sell for a higher price if we somehow, miraculously manage to get promoted whilst he still sells off our better players. He's got very little to lose unfortunately.

Well that's not exactly word for word tbf but yeah, it's like everything is perfectly fine. He even got some cliché-tastic 'best fans in the world' bumlicking for good measure. Its almost like they learnt nothing from last season I genuinely think they're just making these decisions as they go along. They're winging it. Crossing their fingers and hoping it all turns up roses. My gut reaction is that Ashley, who admits he's a bit of a gambler, might just hang in there and risk losing more in the hope the current mob can get us back up. That way he can claw back some of his losses. And if we don't go back up? Oh yeah, he just fucks off. No worries. (Not aimed at you obv.) If we don't go back up, he's still selling a Championship team but with a greatly reduced overdraft and wage bill in the summer of 2010... In some ways, he's risking very little if he sticks it out. He's going to lose a load of money whether he sells now or in a years time provide we don't go up or down.

That is the problem, he wont be. He will. He may not be adequately replaced but someone will come in and play CB if/when he goes.

Thats a pretty moronic thing to say at this point in time. I doubt those who've "had enough" really have, theyre just expressing their dispair. I also wouldnt massively judge people negatively for having fallen out of love with football recently after having this fat clown consistantly f*** up any hopes we could possibly have of enjoying football once again. Probably best to get off your high horse. He's absolutely right though. We're going through the shite again and we'll come out of the other side again too. You mean like Leeds, Forest, Sheff Weds, Southampton etc? Ups and downs though isn't it? For that lot you've mentioned I could say Hull, Wigan, Stoke, Burnley etc. We're having a shit time of it while that lot are riding high. In a few years it might turn around again.

Mildly surprised he's still actually here tbh. As one of the most 'valuable' assets we had he was always going to go.....or did people genuinely expect him to stay? I might have got it all wrong and he's being sold against his wishes but it happens every year when teams go down, the better players get plucked out - normally for less than their true worth. He's a good defender at this level and if he goes then it'll be a big blow to bouncing back first time. The only upside to this is that his fee may just reduce the overdraft enough to convince Barclays to back Moat in his takeover? If he goes then obviously someone else needs to come in. Whoever does eventually come in needs to be supported as do the rest of them. Now more so than ever.

Can't I have both options at the same time? Absolutley.

Could quite easily have been sent off against WBA and was just one tackle away from going again last night. It's just a matter of time before he goes - which means Butt will walk back in. He's either a liability or just fucking thick. Take your pick.

27-30 was fine just before kick off. Just a couple of retards who couldn't fathom out which way to put the ticket into the scanner.... Liam O should have said, I would have helped you both out.

Thought he did fairly well. Didn't envy him having to make his debut with that useless knacker Taylor playing just in front of him.
-
Very true - thanks to the American investors. Fans were showing their disapproval by holding up red cards during the match He'd have more to spend if he hadn't spaffed £18m on a (relatively) ordinary right back.
-
Play like we did in the first half and we'll get a good result. Play like we did in the second half and we'll get rolled over. Warnock (and other bosses in this league) will soon cotton on to how we play and nullify us.
-
The cash turnstile idea failed miserably when they tried it before the Leeds friendly a few weeks back. I'm sure loads of fans missed a good 30 minutes of the first half.
-
It's a bit of an ego thing. It sends out a message. That message is that we're still the best supported club for miles around. Despite being in the second division and in turmoil we're still getting more people through the gates than the vast majority of clubs who have got things a shite sight better than us.

Yeah I thought that too but now its apparently only 3000 or so they are bringing so I went for under 40k. I'll knock 2,000 off then. 40,636. You'll shit yourself if I'm right.
-
42,636 (Based on Wednesday bringing a shitload.)
-
That'll go down like a lead balloon.
-
is it in leeds ? It's not. It's actually near Camblesforth. Bill Beaumont lives there apparently.

Been to Selby a couple of times and it's nowt flash. Also managed to walk around Drax power station. Great fun.
