Have you seen the statement though? They basically told him via letter what they were prepared to change ('any outstanding concerns' ffs) , so he thought 'fuck this'. Disgraceful way to treat him tbh. Agree totally, I just don't think this has happened recently. I think he's put up with it for quite a while - which is my point. Why not get it sorted as soon as he thought he wasn't in complete control? I hope he comes out and says exactly what happened. I'm making assumptions and basing my opinions on hunches.

I'd imagine the end of the transfer window exacerbated things. He seemed confident in getting the players he wanted when we sold Milner. Obviously he didn't. That's fair enough but him being undermined didn't start on August 26th or whenever. If he wasn't happy about things it should have been sorted at the time - preferably in private.

Ok then, your are the MANAGER of your company, but I (as the CEO) am going to bring in your staff and sack \ get rid of others behind your back; how do you feel? I know how I would fucking feel, bye bye job!!! If he was going to make a stand and show Ashley he wasn't going to stand for being undermined he should have done it a long time ago. Him walking out now has dropped the club in the shit. He might have had his reasons but his timing has damaged the club.
-
Because he didn't expect his entire 1st team squad to be up for sale more than likely. Can you prove that?

Lot of people are forgetting that it was Keegan who walked out. Ashley, Wise nor Llambias sacked him. He chose to resign tonight. No-one held a gun to his head and i this has been rumbling on for a while, why choose to walk out now and not when it started?
-
Statement from Keegan via the LMA to follow I presume. Keep your eyes peeled.
-
If Wise has been sacked I'm finished with football. I'll never go to another match. Absolutely disgusting if true. Edit: forgot ASHLEY OUT.
-
Quite right. My brother-in-law is thrilled to bits at the way they've moved forward since they came up. He also said that whilst they're still a couple of players away from being a pretty good team, the difference in the standard of football they play now is phenomenal. Early days yet obviously.

We've turned bits and pieces off to try to stop things from slowing up too much. Nowt to worry about.
-
It's a bit poorly timed if it is a case of brinksmanship from Keegan. If we was going to threaten to resign, he should have done it while the window was still open. Or am I missing something?

Who says romance is dead?

Go along with that. Pretty clear all isn't well behind the scenes but I hope it's patched up and sorted.

The lack of leadership at the top of the club has been disgraceful since Mort left tbh. No-one is stepping forward and pushing the 'vision' for the club and how it's going to be achieved. You reap what you sow Ashley and now you're slap-bang in the middle of a shitstorm. He's got no-one to blame for this mess - he owns the club lock stock and it's his responsibility.
-
Probably wondering why you started a new thread specifically to ask us this conundrum.
-
Wouldn't blame Keegan if he's walked. There's no way he came back to football with the mandate of balancing the books. We're well and truly in the shit if he has left. Time will tell though.
-
I'm pretty underwhelmed tbh. We've brought a few good players in but we've not moved too far forward at all. I honestly don't expect Keegan to be here at Xmas. Just a hunch and I don't know if he'll walk or be pushed but I expected a lot more than what we've brought in. I like the look of Coloccini and Gutierrez but I expected a bit of serious investment this summer. I can understand Ashley playing it a bit safe in the first 2 transfer windows but I thought he'd speculate a bit more - not go mad like City have (although it would be nice) but to spend £20m + whatever we raised in sales to strengthen the squad. A bit downbeat after all the bluster.

Licking a window most likely. Or waving at a bus. The fucking tit.
-
12m is just far too good of a deal to turn down imo. It's a crazy amount of money but he'll need to be replaced asap.
-
The fuckers picked his moment, hasn't he? If we've got someone lined up - flog the twat. If we haven't - flog the twat in January.
-
That's an important 3 points today. It gets us off and running and both Martins and Owen are off the mark too. Doesn't really matter how we get the points at this stage but it's nice not to be in the bottom 6 and under a bit of pressure right from the off. Anything we take from the Arse will be a bonus.

Waxing your chest, showing the big boys your muscles and putting your shirt on as you're running out of the tunnel? What the fuck was all that about? The Guv'nor? Erm...no. The bloke's a clitoris.

The only time I've not thought he was a complete and utter bell-end was when he played for England in Rome and we came away with a 0-0 in '97
