The only problem I've got with Ashton is his injury record. I think he's a canny player and would be good in the Viduka role but he just gets injured far too much. We couldn't rely on him to get fit (and stay fit) for any significant length of time, which is a shame.

We could have won something during Sir Bobby's days if we had Weir. Even now, an aging Weir would be value add to us. Rather Taylor plays like the current Weir rather than like himself. Did a good job all things considered and I'd have liked him to have stayed. I'm a bit annoyed that we're most probably back to square one in regards appointing someone who has to learn the ropes from scratch again.
