That is a good site Dave. Almost makes me want to put it in the 'Useful website' thread on GC...

Fully expecting City to make a serious move up the table this year. They've bought well imo. Everton will drop a bit and Reading will find it much harder this year. Wigan, Fulham, Sunderland and Boro will fight it out to stay up and Derby fans may as well stick a bit of money on themselves to finish 20th - at least they'd be making a bit out of money that way...

He's a canny bairn!

He's a faux-Geordie, cabbage-faced fucker? False Geordie just because he never played here? Pretends to love us but really fucking hates us and relishes our defeats? In my opinion anyway. The fucker can't stop smiling if he's talking about a Newcastle defeat. I could be being paranoid however...

Have you ever considered that he might just be telling the truth? I've not got a clue as to what went on but it broke down pretty sharpish after a fee had been agreed. Leads me to believe he might have a point tbh. I would have thought that had I not seen him completely avoid the question put to him. To me, that suggested he knew exactly what happened but for some reason decided to say nothing. He could have even just said "I dont know" but his total avoidance just came across as a bit devious to me. He was already laying the blame completely at our doorstep so why no just go the whole hog and tell the world we upped the bid or not That's a fair point like! Perhaps he doesn't want it to turn into a "war of words" as the press seem to love? Perhaps he just didn't want to let on to the red-tops? I just think that there's more than an element of truth to what he's saying/implying. We're not whiter than white in this thing imo. Oh I agree that we dont look great in all of this. We definitely need to speak out on the matter now to put our perspective on it. It is odd to pull out when everything has been done on the deal bar the player pulling on the shirt. Fully agreed on that like. Would like to know what exactly happened but I very much doubt we'll find out.

Now there's a question! He's got to balance up the benefits of keeping him fit and in the shop window with the risk of him getting injured. Tough call. Probably on the bench and possibly give him 15 mins if it's going ok.

Smith and Zappa definitely need a game. Would like to see Viduka play at least a half and I'd give Troisi a full game if he's up for it.
-
well...its if the first half, i'd go with the assumption that he'd do it again after the break, which leads to 76 a season. TheoreticalProbabilitytastic!
-
So if Viduka scores in the first half at Bolton then gets an injury that keeps him out for the rest of the season, we get to brag we've got a striker that scores 38 a season? Class!
-
Ah, the good old 3-1-3-1-1-1! Brings a tear to the eye.
-
Is that the bummer?
-
was just looking that up : 2001/2 4 goals (4 in league) 2002/3 7 goals (6 in league) 2003/4 3 goals (2 in league) 2004/5 2 goals (1 in league) 2005/6 7 goals (6 in league) 2006/7 8 goals (6 in league) Average 5 goals a season (4.2 in league) Well that's certainly pissed on his chips!
-
Thought it seemed too good to be true.
-
Zappa would be the ideal choice but I'm not sure how good his English is.
-
Hope the club stand firm and call his bluff. He's taken millions out of this club and he's basically engineered a situation which has invited West Ham to make a bid. Now he apparently wants a £2m leaving present? He can go fuck himself.
-
More of a Turkish Franny Lee imo.
-
Makes his position basically untenable and any fee is going to be rock-bottom now. That's always assuming there's someone daft enough to give the prick another chance like.
-
Stop shouting! We can hear you.

Staggering if true. I say we buy 2million worth of eggs and plaster the c*** with them. When he comes back to St. James' next year the reaction is going to be insane. Loudest, most hate-filled booing ever? I'd go just to boo him. It will be a great atmosphere, especially when Barton scythes him in half. Not that I'd wish in on anyone, but the possibility Dyer suffering a career ending injury at St. James' Park in front of a packed house, baying for blood, is quite alluring. If he goes and returns with West Ham or someone else, I can see him getting the same treatment Ginola got with Villa a few years back. Gregory subbed him about 2 mins before half time and he got fucking pelters. He could easily have waited til half time to make the sub too.
