Aye that's right. blueyes.gif Could have sworn they won it!

Alan Kennedy. Waddle with Marseille? They got stripped of it though. Not sure.
-
N'Zogbia I suppose? Carr could switch flanks and Solano/Geremi/Taylor could move to RB.

I highly doubt Dyer would find them humorous tbh. I'm sure he'd be giddy at the sight of his performance Just keep things like that off the forum, eh? Cheers.

Sorry, but it's bang out of order coming out with shit like that!

As unpopular a view as it is, I want them relegated every year and to lose every game they play, unless them winning benefits NUFC. There's a few decent Mackems around and about but the overwhelming majority are complete arseholes.

SSN are saying it's a done deal. For £9m, he'll literally have to be as good as Schmeichel was in his pomp to justify that fee. It's fucking astronomical for a keeper.

Agree, but being managed by an idiot negates the above imo. The idiot has been promoted before. Absolutely true. Still an idiot though.

Agree with that. Decent standard of football, Laws will look after him and it's only a couple of hours away so it'll be easier to keep an eye on him and track his progress.

Skewed normal distribution tbh. blueyes.gif Cant be, the tails are bounded. Its a gamma i think. I must have been off when we did that one!

Because he's not good enough yet. Its only a friendly though. The game is unlikely to get to his head in a negative way in my opinion. He's a promising player who, one day, hopefully will be good enough to play for England. That time is not now. I'd much prefer him to concentrate on becoming a regular for Newcastle and for him to perform to a standard that warrants a call-up when the others are fit.

Nowhere near imo. Still got loads to learn.

I don't see anything wrong with it. He probably does enjoy being at the club and would rather have his 9 or 10 games a year than 30 or 40 at a smaller club. He might lack ambition, but Harper is never going to be first choice at Barcelona. The best he could hope for would be the No. 1 at Derby or Sunderland. Or in the Championship. And let's face it, receiving a very large yearly salary for training a few hours each week and then sitting on a bench for 90 min on Saturday afternoon isn't bad. I could very easily see myself being content with that. He'll have retired in about 4 years time and he'll look back on his career. It'll take him 30 seconds. The house(s) and car(s) it provided for him will last a lot longer. He did his bit, and he can be proud that he played for a Premiership team and in Europe. Not many players manage that. You could say the same about Given though. Yes, he plays more. So what? A goalkeeper of his quality could be at a club that wins trophies. And definitely at a club in the Champions League. I just wouldn't knock loyalty, because it is a very rare quality these days. That's fair enough. I don't see it like that at all but....there you go! I just think he's wasted his short time as a footballer by not having the ambition to go out and perform every week. He's not a bad keeper and could have played hundreds of games at another club. You interpret this as loyalty, I interpret it as a lack of ambition. I don't hate him, I've just got no respect at all for him because he's taken the option to sacrifice his career rather than be the best he possibly could be.

He'll be nailed to one if they're bottom 3 at Xmas.

Toldo and Buffon I think.
