Two footprint shaped pieces of brown grass at the back of the technical area at SJP.

Probably deserves one more before he retires this summer... [/gritted teeth]

Be shocked if it didn't tbh. Pretty obvious that Clark and Mc aren't up to much as coaches, and Allardyce is renowned for his approach to coaching/fitness. I'd expect he'll look to bring in some people who actually know what they're doing, don't you? But knowing Shepherd, he'll try to compromise and go 50-50 with SA saying "You can have 'blah', 'blah' and 'blah' on the condition that Lee Clark remains in his role as Reserve Team Manager and you give Pearson a coaching role" Maybe it's just the optomist in me, but I get the impression that Freddy is starting to see the light a bit in terms of giving his mangers total control over things. Actually despite what I said, I'm inclined to agree. I don't think Allardyce would be taking over unless he was given anything but 100% control. After all, he reportedly turned us down on two previous occaisons, what else could be the difference now? The absence of a certain Number 9???

Couldn't agree more. Zog was bang out of order today and hasn't won any friends as a result of his actions. However, I can understand why he's at the end of his tether with the club and blew his stack today. If he'd been handled correctly in the first place, we wouldn't even be discussing this now.

I'm not privvy to the goings on in the dressing room so I can't comment on what he's like. If he is/was bigging himself up then it's up to the manager to deal with the personality and, basically, manage the situation to ensure the lad calms down and still produces on the park. In my opinion he's not had the benefit of a decent manager and he's been made into a pariah by Roeder. Spot on about Milner though. Lad deserves a extra large pat on the back after the way he was treated on deadline day.
-
I'd like to think that Allardyce as enough about him to smooth everything over and make the lad feel welcome and appreciated. Can't see why he'd flog him on the back of one act of petulance. 'Arm round the shoulder' time methinks. Edit: Fools never differ Wullie.

He's been chronically mismanaged this season. He's arguably our most talented and gifted young player and he's been treated like something Roeder has scraped off his shoe. Can't condone him storming out but can totally understand his frustration with the pricks who've allegedly been running the show this year.

Someone who thinks he's a tad better than Pattison?

Correct. Can understand why he's a bit peeved like... blueyes.gif

Sheffield down...........who'd have thunk it?
-
You just know that when he signs for someone else, he'll go a couple of years without picking up another serious injury don't you? Fucking sods law!
-
They call him..................Mr. Glass.
-
Giggs, Scholes & Ronaldo all on now in triple substitution.
-
Not sure myself tbh! I know he's there and Allardyce rates him highly - just not sure of his actual role in the club.

You set 'em up, I'll knock 'em in.
-
Well he's in the right city then isn't he?
-
It's that Ricky Sbragia isn't it?
-
Rested for what? Our game in mid-week? Doesn't add up if he's not carrying an injury.

2 - 2 Owen'll notch.

Turned down Inter Milan Aye on Pro Evolution maybe. Chose Barcelona instead.

Hypothetical situation: What happens if he says he wants to leave next summer and we're forced to hawk him round for about £4m or risk losing him for nothing?
-
How shit is Gary Breen by the way? Dreadful defender.
-
Couldn't really say anything else though could he? I cant see Shearer saying it if he didnt mean it, If he didnt know he would of said something simple like "Maybe" or "We'll see". That would have created even more speculation. Put on the spot, he had no choice but to say that he'll stay.
-
Shepherd's an arsehole but I've always felt that he keeps his ear to the ground on shit like this. Don't think he'd be thick enough to hand him a £12m 4-year contract if he was going to be charged with anything. Plus if he hasn't been charged yet, how substantial is the evidence against him? Must be pretty tenuous.
