3 sent off iirc? Aye Midds, and Terry Mac sent to the stand. We hand on heart were the better team when we had 9 men, we were 2-0 doon and came back to 2-1 with 9 and looked like we could get a draw, then he sent O'Brien off, cunt. I've got his address off www.b4usearch.com think he might have a fragrant christmas card with a Newcastle postmark on it this year. Hell hath no fury like a West-End lad scorned!

The angriest I've ever, ever seen my old man. If he could have got his hands on Mills (spit), he'd have murdered him. Not joking.

100% agreed. His last match was at Anfield and he came out with the smarmiest comment in his autobiography you'll ever read. Someone will dig the quote out I'm sure. Toe-curling. "I had mixed feelings. On the one hand I wanted to finish the game a little early and get off the pitch before people saw big tough Jeff Winter in tears. Then again, I didn’t want the game to end. Liverpool were 4-0 up, so it was in my hands. Nobody would care either way. In the end I played a little bit extra, waiting until play was at the Kop end, before sounding the final shrill blast — a bit like the Last Post. The fans behind the goal burst into spontaneous applause. It was longer and louder than normal, even for a big home win. Did they know it was my final visit? Was the applause for me? They are such knowledgeable football people, that it would not surprise me." That's the one.

Thanks for that. Agreed. I might as well switch off now.

Southbound carriageway of the A19 hopefully. He's a fucking berk. Going to visit his equally slack-jawed brother. Couldn't give a fuck. As long as it's in the opposite direction to Newcastle, I'm happy.

I remember Chris Holland. Saw him score against City this one time if memory serves. Is that the fat twat who beached himself at Birmingham?

Last minute Spurs winner. Nailed on.

Joe Allon. Think it was the hair.

Was just making a point that all the extra matches dosent seem to have effected our league form much. So a few points from 4th to probable 6th is an improvement? "Few points of 4th", i love the wording you use. Facts are we finished 5th last season and were hopefully gonna finish the same place this season. Add to that the cup runs which therefore make it an improvement from last season. How many points behind them were you then? 3? 4? Can't be arsed to look. Wasn't f****** many, I know that! just find it strange that you refer to it as a few points behind 4th" rather then just plain and simply calling it 5th. If the gap was 20 points between 4th and 5th what would you say? Close to CL? If the gap was 2 points between 4th and 5th what would you say? Close to CL? Not that hard is it?

So what you're basically saying is that you can only mount a serious tilt at the top 4 if you sacrifice the cups?

Progress in the Cups in misleading like. Fucking Plymouth made the QF of the FA Cup too.... Lost to the first good team they played in the UEFA Cup (EDIT: Not forgetting the bye they got ).... Man. U took the Carling Cup so seriously Southend knocked them out... Christ, we've had a shite season and we did them home & away... Going backwards lads.

PMSL you can't keep hold of decent players, Carrick was off at the first opportunity. I'd be amazed if a) Owen isn't here next season and b) Berbatov is still at Spurs and c) not even the great Arthur C Clarke could write such an unbelievable story as Michael Owen leaving Newcastle for a little club like Spurs. Why would you be amazed if Owen left you?. You think bottom half premiership finishes are good enough for a striker like him? After 12 games?? Trust me he's going no where for now. You think playing for a club who rarely sold out throughout the 90's, employed Christian Gross as manager, couldn't sell out a deby against Arsenal this year, was sponsored by PONY, who brung 400 here in 1999, and who have finished in the top five once in 16 years is good enough for Berbatov? DB is good as gone, I'll give you 6/4 now he stays. Gross might have been crap for Spurs but he's proven himself on the Continent. Souness has been a failure most places he goes and at least Gross didn't blow the best part of £50m on an assorted collection of failures. I've never said I think Owen will leave, but assuming he stays, what are his ambitions? Win the premiership? Top 4? Top half? Whats anyone's ambitions at Spurs then? To improve results season upon season and improve the squad for continued improvement in results. That's been achieved for each year that Levy has been in charge. Still a long way to go to break into the top 4. A couple of points away last season.... Flash in the pan or going backwards???

You know what? I wouldn't give a bucket of piss for the opinions of any of them.

I'm not having that like. Fucking sublime is the word you were scrambling for.

It's unrealistic to even consider moving Harper on. I'm pretty sure he's had the chance of a move before now and he's never showed the ambition to be a No. 1 somewhere else. That's the major problem I've got with him. He's quite happy to warm the bench playing a few games a season whenever Given is injured or suspended. WHERE THE FUCK'S HIS AMBITION?? He's probably a very rich bloke by now and he'll never have to work again in his life but what the fuck's he going to tell his kids and grandkids? "I was the second best goalie at Newcastle for ages you know. Aye, played about 60 games in my career up there I did!" And he's also very, very ordinary.

Souness would. But hopefully our next manager won't want him. The player isn't worth it, tbh. Only if he happened to be playing for Rangers at the time...
