  1. wow, i missed covenrty and QPR aswell......reading too. did you go through the country geographically in your mind to get them ? Pretty much. Then when I got stuck at the end I went through those I already had and tried to think of rivals etc. think that pretty much confirms that coventry is as much a non-place as QPR. sorry billytary but your home doesn't exist.

  3. sacked (shit, it's still may)
  4. having been through a few sunderland relegations in my time and having used differing tactics to rub the salt in i have to say the one that worked best was to say nowt. you know, they know, but their relegation is not so big a thing to even warrant a mention. drove them bananas.

    F*ck off Rugby

As opposed to kicking it back to your mate three times, and then kicking it forward to the other team. You sure you have the right game? Tackled, pass the ball back between your legs to your mate Tackled, pass the ball back between your legs to your mate Tackled, pass the ball back between your legs to your mate Kick the ball to the other team. repeat thats league.
  6. Well, Santa is a Geordie. So anything's possible. (When I read .com's report something twigged in my mind about Rusedski and Newcastle prior to this as well. He loves the Toon.) I also seem to have some sort of memory of him being a Newcastle fan along with that Canadian sprinter ben johnson ?
  7. Agreed. Who gives a s*** about the mackems when we have the opportunity to guarantee safety for ourselves? Madness. f***ing small-minded man. My cousin is a Mackem and he was saying the same about their fans. Loads of them wanting Hull and 'Boro to keep winning to put us down... slight flaw with that logic there like when they've got Portsmouth and Chelsea to play yet... He said the same has happened in previous seasons when he's been at home/away during pivotal weekends and their fans have cheered goals against us at the back-end of a season, when the team scoring them has gone on to finish above Sunderland and see them relegated. Classic Mackems. Yup, they woud rather see us lose even if its means them being put out by the result. Small minded, But it's our fans saying it, not theirs. Of course the people saying it are probably complete tools. I'm not sure I saw more than one person on this thread say they wanted Hull to win the next game. If we beat fulham and bolton beat hull and sunderland get beat at pompey. I sure as hell want hull to beat Manure (narrowly) because that would have no effect on us, unless we totally self distruct and conceed 8 or 9 goals at Villa (even for us that's not gonna happen). Trust me, no one is seriously hoping Hull win at our expense, you are just being somewhat of a drama queen here. if we go 3 up against fulham, then i'll cheer on hull at sunderlands expense but i'll be happy if we scrape a 1-0 and hull get beat. Lunacy that, we'd still go into the last day with everything in the balance if Hull and us both win on Saturday. Edit: Though you may have meant the last day. If so, nevermind. aye your right. got my dates mixed up.

  9. i personally think there is definitly a market out there for a decent non-league outfit in newcastle. and kingston park is a good ground aswell.

    Those flags.

Would everyone who got one please bring it back on saturday. it looked good and got the atmosphere going a bit. cheers.
  11. Would bring a hell of a lot to our starting XI in my opinion. Boro would have been relegated a long time ago without him in their side. i agree that tuncay would be a good signing, up front and wide.
  12. give wigan their due, we all thought after their WBA performance they'd roll over, what with the bruce connection but they went for it. (as much as i like dislike steve bruce he has done well with wigan and it would be interesting to see what he could do with more resources at his disposal)
  13. is sad tho, blue star have always been on the map and have just got promoted, they defo going then? possibly get a deal to pay the 65grand off over 2 or 3 years, don't know if they can even afford that.

  15. bollocks.....he just whinges when he can't have his own way. How many times has he played "Mind games" with opponent's, for example with Keegan in 96. he didn't. he whinged about others trying harder against his team than others. if steve mclaren does it it's whigning, if roeder does it its whinging,if ferguson does it it's mind games. he's the spoilt brat of football who whinges when he can't get his own way. he did try it deliberatly once...the season after with wenger and it blew up in his face.

    Mark Viduka

o'brien, dabizas, bramble. we have so much to do,at least 3 midfielders and a 2 forwards before even thinking about a centre half.
  17. Sadly, its not just luck. As much as it grates me and mkes me green with envy to say it, they are just so mentally strong, they never know when they are beaten. Liverpool are the same. that mental strength comes from the belief that you are better then the opposition, generally because they are. we used to be like that when we were very good. That spell under Robson when we used to go a goal down & you still thought we'd win. during that spell i'd think during every game that if we were a goal down with 15mins left we'd win,we had more come back vitories than anyone in the prem.......1 season later no club lost more leads than us!

  19. Right so I've got about £44 in betfair now. Might try and see if I can get anywhere with this (I appreciate it's a low starting value...) by putting on bets I think might win rather than my usual betting technique of wasting £2-5 at the bookies on a friday with ridiculous accus. For anyone who does this, do you have any rules about bankroll e.g. never put more than 10% on per bet etc.? I'll undoubtedly get bored with this after 2-4 weeks and piss it all away on something stupid like the Tour, but it might be more interesting betting on something I actually know a little about. i done exactly that including the 10% thing. once i broke through £100 but got carried away on accu's. since last april i've taken 3 lots of £100 out at seperate times and on top of that had a balance of just under £400 but recently had to rely on a refer and earn to get funds in. learned my lesson re accies (though had a short priced five timer up last night).£78 now in the kitty through mainly singles.
  20. how ? monday was against a very poor team with lots of injuries who had their chances and at the time we got our 2nd were starting to control the game.
  21. theres a lot of people in non-league circles saying that. i was at one of the last games at the wheatsheaf and there was a few people wondering where the money had been spent. shame as i'd been to one or two at KP and was going to try for a few more. seems like they brought it on themselves. you'd think with an estate the size of KP they'd be popping flyers all over etc to get crowds up but none of it.
  22. what was that Mr Ferguson said some years back about stuart pearce etc but now it's ok for his club not to give a fuck ? cheers alex you hypocritical bastard.
