i wouldn't be at all surprised if we had bids in for various players and the other clubs (and players themselves) are waiting to see what or if other bids come in. i'd reckon we also have bids tabled for some of our players and are sitting on them. not much seems to be happening transfer wise anywhere but it will heat up.

Yeah, that does sound very difficult tbf. not for gambling gorilla

Because a dog couldn't win a pen in the last minute of a game nor could it draw in 3 opposition defenders to give Viduka space? Only a guess like................... Draw in 3 defenders?! He f***ing fell over man! mackems.gif The defender then tried to clear it but Viduka took it off his boot and placed it in the bottom corner, you're either clutching at straws to convince yourself he's any good or you're completely f***ing clueless, judging from your comment on how you would have Butt, Milner and Smith over Laurent Robert every day of the week pushes towards the latter. It's people like you that bum the dross like Smith, Milner, Butt, Taylor etc because they give 100% and get stuck in yet go home scratching your head as to the reason why we're so f***ing s***, you just don't get it do you? These players are not good enough if we've got any sort of ambition as a club and would struggle to get in the teams that are challenging for the Uefa cup let alone the top 4. Clueless. Good Evening Mr Negative, You know what? I'd take Jimmy Milner over Robert EVERY day of the week. I'd take him over Gillespie too. Thats the thing about a football forum, it's about opinions and people being prepared to say what they think. The difference between you and I, is that I'm positive and constructive not a negative, whinging b****** happy to slag off any of our players at every single opportunity. Grow up you miserable little t***. Wow. What a shocking post. all those cupos of coffee you'll not be able to sleep

And no fucker else I'd back my manager as much as possible. Or sack him if I didn't have the confidence to back him as much as possible. Its pretty straightforward. and if your judgement was flowed..ie appointing souness, roeder and allardyce...what would you expect then ? the important thing is backing the manager. Roeder got us into 7th place and the UEFA Cup. If you don't back your managers you will never do anything. Any good appointment you make will leave for a club that will back him. Allardyce was considered a good appointment by many people on here and elsewhere, including me. Nobody makes successful appointments every time. Get real. and where was souness taking us ,and allardyce and where was roeder taking us long term. you know aswell as i do that roeders finishing 7th was like macfauls good season as manager But Roeder wasn't forced to sell his best players ? i mean it was a fluke...like ipswich finishing 4th.......did you feel comfortable with roeder. he was a steadier and would take us further...agree ? stop gap, nowt wrong with it. He did OK in the short term. What did you think of Arsenal when they appointed Rioch, and Liverpool when they appointed Evans ? And Spurs when they appointed Gross, and Pleat ? This could go on forever. at the time arsenal appointd rioch and pool appointed evans they were the favoured candidates. is your argument.....with the last 3 it doesn't stand up

i think he sees it as the press does....going on what the press has said he clearly states he has seen Keegan lately. I don't understand why you don't see that players have the information from inside the game. Don't you realise that within the game, players know what is really going on sometimes ? Amazing self denial, this like. heard similar from gavin peacock in robsons time

And no fucker else Do you think we should have waited until the summer to buy Woodgate instead of January ? I asked Ozzie Mandiarse this, but I don't think he responded [unsurprisingly] . If you do , please tell us why ? And also confirm, having spent the money we did in the 2 previous seasons to get back into the Champions League, you are advocating the club spend money they didn't have ? i refer the right honourable gentleman to post 84 in this thread

so you've decided they have backed him when they haven't ? [and to clarify, I'm talking about their record to date, and comments in the press, not just the failure to sign Modric] Fact is, you can't accept comments in the press as being without foundation just because they are criticising Ashley, then refuse to accept articles with quoute from ex players who will know what is going on. Its obvious as night becomes day that Keegan is being restricted in the transfer market, to a level that is simply not acceptable for a club like Newcastle United. If he doesn't wake up fast, you will see the crowds go, and what do you think that will do to the "business model" You should be running the club. You clearly know more about how to do it than Ashley. The only thing is we're only giving you 12 months to get us back into the Champions League. Deal? I wish I did run the club. And yes, if it were up to me, I wouldn't have bought half those squad players we bought last summer. strange thing is, people are now saying we need more squad players ? Thats what you get for setting low standards and trying to do things on the cheap. or maybe we'll have an exhange of players this season......some come some go

last season when i got used to him i'd just think"he'll not get past him" when anyone had a go at him. defensivly much better than warnock and hopefully with a bit experience under his belt and a more natural and settled line up ie someone orthadox on the left he'll go on from that.
