  1. I wonder how well the situation was explained to Keegan before he was offered the job. And if he's entitled to compensation then he should get it. if he's entitled to it he will get it
  2. You can't do that because at the end of their contract's their value is nil. If you didn't amortise it, we'd still be holding Owen as an asset in the accounts at what he cost us and writing the whole lot off in the summer in one go when he leaves. yes but at the same time you may buy a player for £1mill on a four year deal,he's fantastic and clubs are offering £15 million at the end of season one (not unlike palacios) yet the books would show his value at £750,000 ? someone mentioned earlier that perhaps a better way to look at how things are run is to look at the cash flow. ps. let me know if i'm in over my head here.
  3. it was on the pitch so i doubt n'zogbia could be bothered
  4. Contract up at the end of the season I think. still a good deal
  5. Amazing really. 2 pages worth of rumours,133 of "we should sign"
  6. carlo cudiccini to spuds for £1mill (a steal) apparently
  7. does that mean the same as "sleeve end" as in "i'll sleeve end the cunt" ?

    Giles Barnes

he's hardly played since then because of various injuries. if derby go down he'll be going for next to nothing. worth a gamble. would be a gamble taking on another injury prone player. what sort of inuries has he had ? according to wiki, a broken foot and major surgery on his knee among others. Ooooooh the knee one sounds iffy. seriously i'd only risk an injury prone player right now if he "WAS" the deal as opposed to a risk.
  9. got to have it in the first place in order to lose it.

  12. i've a mate at work who's son decided to support huddersfield from a young age (about 7) and they now travel there for most home games and aways in the north. i've adopted the terriers as a team who i don't support but i always keep an eye out for their results.
  13. liam oasis was interviewed on radio 5 yestarday about the collapse of the kaka deal, he said about wanting to get new players in by the wednesday in time to play newcastle next saturday and man city have come a long way since they were in the 4th division 6 years ago !
  14. sure he said something about maybe having to cancel the loans if he had to up the prices for players he's bid on (guessing m'bia)
  15. 3-0 I think. Docked points as well. and you still have to play the game at some point.
  16. I thought he wanted to go to Spurs? What a t*** btw. Good player, but what a t***. I am sure the guy on SSN said that Spurs had also made another bid but permission had only been given to speak to Man City. It's been reported that Spammers would rather he go to city then us (even though we've made identical bids). Shame really as i wanted him at the Lane. Hughes also confirmed that city haven't made a bid for palacios. Seems like annoying other clubs by repeatedly talking about their players in the press maybe isn't the best way to go. Who would have thought it. i've no doubt his agent was keeping schtumm on the deal aswell.
  17. 1) don't actually know what Llambias does or what his remit is. 2) we need a better manager 3) we need good coaches and agree about the whole playing side focus towards one pattern. 4) someone has to have more injuries than everyone else and i don't know enough about our medical staff 5) i don't know the extent of our scouting network. the problem with seperating the money is obvious. if the academy has spent it's allocation and a quality youngster becomes available whilethe first team allocation has some spare you are saying you shouldn't get him ? 6) players will go to there best option. if man utd drop to mid table for a few years and struggle to pay top wages and sunderland are top of the league paying top dollar they'll go the stadium of light.

    Here's one.

want us to finish as high as possible......don't care where they finish
  19. great article in saturdays independent about west ham entitled "no more fereddie ljungbergs" and how the ethos has changed financially and how the club is ran. and a fantastic brian viner article about warren barton/sir les and a group of toon fans on there way to london.
  20. How's Zokora a naff example? Mbia has pace and power so can join when needed, Makalele never could. i've just watch him labour around the pitch against Lille, he didn't look to be blessed with too much pace, he looked like he would struggle to beat Geremi in a race! not a dig at you binnsy but the general feel of m'bia.....before the game he was too good for us and the idea we were only bidding £5mill made us look stupid....now he's shit based on one game. the football chat section is a loon.
  21. they are basically my thoughts except the communication bit. had we been in the top 5 or 6 i doubt anyone would have gave a toss about the communication. we had a communicator as chairman before and he got mocked and lambasted for it. on a seperate not, very good to see you back HTL.
  22. shouldn't be called supporters then if you're not going to support. lets call them "attendees" instead.
