  1. I was at the Leeds 94/95 one. Had to ditch the car and driver to get to the match.... he turned up 20mins after ko. My major boxing day memories are Grimsby 80/81. Not my first away but my first 'real' away. Local coach booked from our estate, me and my mate the youngest by 5 or 6 yrs. Think it was Mick Harfords debut. I still associate the smell of Mcewans Export with Boxing day. Fucking hell man......I was 13.
  2. Just merge it into the other 19 thread.
  3. It's not from the last touch (is it ?). He was offside when the Newcastle player touched it. https://www.theifab.com/news/law-11-offside-deliberate-play-guidelines-clarified/
  4. He was offside from the shot that got deflected.
  5. All done deliberately to prove my intelligence isn't artificial
  6. Tycho is my choice when turning the commentary off.
  7. Looked well suited the last few games.
  8. Strange thing for a manager to say. I can understand, just about, his sticking to a certain system if he thinks that once they get it it'll work, but "......my idea, I don't have another one" ? I'm very wary of managers who have to be that rigid. I can buy into managers who want to be more passing based or more route one, high press or low block but we have to play this formation regardless of the personnel seems an admittance of lack of ability to get the best out if a squad.

    Alexander Isak

Wish he'd gave the earlier one 0 bloody fycks instead of the dink into Onana's hands.
  10. Didnt know where to put this thought but here seems as good a place as any. This midfield hasn't peeked yet, they're only just jelling. I think Tonalis delay at moving in to his position was him getting the pace of the prem and also Bruno getting to Tonalis pace, the keeping the ball moving, more first touch in certain areas. For all we are still basically at first sight a 433, since Tonali has moved there is a lot more going on. So looking forward to how(e) this evolves going forward.
  11. How's their midfield looking now that Bentancur is out ? My worry is as much fatigue for us.
  12. Also added confidence in that other facets of his game can play a part even if he's less of a shotstopper (which is called on a bit less now) than Pope.
  13. He can keep the same idea without necessarily keeping it that formation.
  14. Right I'm watching this Carragher and Neville thing. Is it always like this ? Why would anyone watch it more than once ?
  15. Don't bother with the shower. Get out before the ceiling caves in.
  16. Thus coverage is shit ! Team in 5th beat team in 14th let's spend the entire post match "analysis" talking about the team who got beat.
  17. He'll relish the feeling of importance all the more.
  18. Does the system he supposedly wants to persist with get the best from the players he has ?
  19. Currently listening to Carragher. Fuck me this fella speaks so much utter drivel. So pleased I rarely have him on, I'm just waiting for more interviews. Missed Isak's.
  20. He's been brought in and has his way. He changed it and they looked better for it. It'll be interesting to see if he sticks to his starting pattern as the season goes on. We'll find out in time if he's a manager who became famous as he could bully lesser clubs in his league or if he's adaptable and can get the best out if lesser things.
  21. SSN has just said the full time whistle at Old Trafford was greeted with boost. That's not what I heard
