  1. like allardyce was at bolton...the only thing neither of them can/could do is spend money the clubs haven't got.

But... but He's so fast!! He must be able to play there. Henry started started out as a Winger, but hasn't done too bad a job as a striker has he? etc etc I think Marins would do well on the LW or top left of a 433 personally too good to leave on the bench and while Duff is out Zoggy's in the huff and Luque a complete flop why not put him LW or at the top left of a 433 ? Do you have a crystal ball and know for sure he'd be rubbish there? he may do well on the left of a 4-3-3 when we have the ball, however that position means he has to work when we don't have it and i have seen little to make me think he has the appetite or the footballing nouse to do it well enough.

isn't that better though............"we'll tell you when someone HAS signed" type of thing.
  4. think he means "time to leave" as in "i'm even further down the pecking order so if i want a game i'd best move"
  5. i believe 18th july was the date pencilled in for delisting.
  6. thats half a million gone through this morning so far.
  7. From the club accounts ... William Frederick Shepherd: Appointed director of the football club in November 1991 and subsequently as chairman in July1998. Appointed as Non-executive director of Newcastle United PLC in December 1998, became a full time Executive Director in August 2001 ands was appointed Chairman in 2002. (NE5 will disagree with me on this as I've taken it from a club publication, but you can probably assume it is okay) So in other words, while he was chairman: Dodgy Dalglish transfers Appointment of Gullit Start of decline under Robson commenced shortly after his second spell as chairman commenced Sacking of Bobby Robson Appointment of Souness Signing of Owen and others. Accused by both Souness and Robson as the man actually in charge of transfers. Appointment of Roeder Appointment of Allardyce And while he was at the club, but not chairman: Appointment of Keegan Signing of Shearer 2nd in the league Appointment of Dalglish Appointment of Robson Champions League Qualification. No-one disagrees with any of the statements here then? majority of them are facts, as opposed to opinions, so they just have to be accepted now are we going to sack the man who appoints fat fred ?
  8. who's to say allardyce doesn't know what owen is going to do,my guess is they have talked about it.
  9. and theres a strange thing, apparently yesterday emre announced he wants to stop here tuerning down approaches from galatasaray and fenerbahce.........did the club accept these bids OR did they go straight to the player(illegaly) OR is the chronicle talking shithttp://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/journalsport/tm_headline=i%2Dm-staying%2D-vows-emre%26method=full%26objectid=19351498%26siteid=50081-name_page.htmlif no bid were actually made.....could this be libel ?
  10. This. What the hell has Owen actually done wrong? He's not said he hates the club, he's not said he wants away, he hasn't refused to play, when he's played for us, he's scored goals. It's actually quite ironic because people who say 'don't believe everything you read in the paper' have been influenced by what the papers have said about what Owen wants, he's never actually said himself 'I want to go', it's been the papers saying he wants to go. thank the f****** lord someone agrees with me. ive been saying this for ages but it seems everyone wants to think the worst of him. It's not hindsight, at the time I expressed reservations about signing a player who was literally begging one of the top clubs to take him instead. Nothing much has changed really. I rate Owen as the best when it comes to the art of goal-scoring but I don't want a player who would rather be somwhere else. Didn't then and still don't now. which of the current staff wouldn't move to one of the top 4 if the move came along ? Exactly, if other players had a clause letting them go to a top 4 club for less than their value, they'd be off in a shot. sod the clause.....what would happen if man utd came in for emre or n'zogbia for example...would they say "no thanks,i really want to see out the contract i agreed" or would they do all they could to move ? Did Emre or N'zogbia arrive to a Messiah's welcome? Did those two come here begging for other clubs to sign them instead of us? whats that got to do with anything...do you think if the manc or arse had wanted either they'd be here ? Not if you were manager of Newcastle, no. i'm not ,neither are you..what does it matter...if you only want players who desperatly want to be here you'll struggle, even shearer turned us down once.
