Thats the 60's, not 70's. EARLY 60's at that. yes the music is but not when they played it at the match for example they recently played "if the kids are united" by sham 69 but it isn't 1978. i never set foot inside till 1974 and i remember it from going with my mates so that'll put it relegattion season or the year after.as my mate has said it used to come on practically as the turnstiles opened
-
Did I not hear David Gold saying 20 out of 20 were for the idea. Is it any wonder no kids play football any more? Honestly. What a load of old s**** the game is nowadays. Every day I fall out of love just a little bit more... to be honest i fell out of love with the game a while back. i have partisanship to my club and little time for anything outside that. i only have intrest in games that affect my club or i have money on them
-
24 hrour/rolling news does that
-
they'll probably seed the places given to the matches though. man utd V anyone in new york or tokyo wigan V boro in darfur or kandahar
-
"peanut aggro peanut aggro ello ello" V chelsea alfie peanuts, who i'm sure still knocks roubnd westerhope

I think that's what he'll do too. Especially since I saw an article recently where he was saying he loves living in the countryside in the north west, doesn't miss London at all and has family in Lancashire. I reckon he will wait for United or Liverpool to make a move. even if the so called big 4 dont come in for him, bentley (serious injury providing) will not start september at blackburn
-
what rot ! if another club is interested and looks like it is going places even if not one of the top 4 yet "go for it" if none of the top 4 come in.
-
Now see I privately suggested that, but it wasn't good enough for him. actually, little ash was having a wank
-
Don't know what it's called, but that one that goes "we are young . . we are free" you know? That would be good. if its the supergrass one its "we are young,we run green" the song is called "alright"

"those were the days"--mary hopkin it could have been written in alegory for NUFC. Once upon a time, there was a tavern Where we used to raise a glass or two Remember how we laughed away the hours, Think of all the great things we would do Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days Then the busy years went rushing by us We lost our starry notions on the way If by chance I'd see you in the tavern We'd smile at one another and we'd say Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days Just tonight I stood before the tavern Nothing seemed the way it used to be In the glass I saw a strange reflection Was that lonely woman really me Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days Through the door there came familiar laughter I saw your face and heard you call my name Oh my friend we're older but no wiser For in our hearts the dreams are still the same Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

just been on to a mate about it and russ conway was on but earlyish on. in his words "the turnstiles opened and the bloke put the album on and fucked off to the novocastria for a pint"
-
Enough pre-Keegan staff there to let him know that Beye is a way better player than Carr, he also showed great dedication with how fast he got back here from the A.C.O.N. He will have had a full week in training too so I think he will start ahead ofr Carr. as with the players i think will get to know the staff before he trusts them too much (they would've been the ones backing allardyces use of smith in midfield and etc)

Late fifties or early sixties - Russ Conway with Billy Cotton. My mother was madly in love with Russ Conway!! She kept saying what a great pianist he was, even though he only had three fingers and a thumb, on one hand. Also, less of this "old timers" stuff, Mr Embryo. You do realise (or don't you?) that by 'approximately' the week after next (it will seem to you, absolutely) you will be "grown up and well past it / half dead" in the eyes of the next generation of little kiddiewinkies on here! but do you remember being played regularly at the match ? whats this bit about the week after next ? i'm probably seen as well past it or half dead already. Yeah - me too!!! Been going to the match since 1967 (off and on) then permanently from 1970, but I don't actually remember that. What I do remember, for many years, was a sort of 'big-band' or orchestra type instrumental (marching tunes??) type tunes, being played before the match and probably at half time. Does anyone remember them - seemed to be for years into the seventies - marching 'military-type' music?? yip i remember that. i deffo remember the russ conway stuff from the season afetr we got relegated. standing in the e-wing with my spud-u-like at about 2pm and they must have put the album on aevery week for at least a season or two
-
i would but i dont think he'll drop carr for beye. carrs done little wrong since keegans arrival and beye is an unknown quantity to him

had to realy be in the old stand as thats about as far as the PA used to reach
-
russ conway was played over the PA pre game and half time. not for us the bay city rollers, roxy music or the sweet.
-
something that implies the fans and the media think along the same lines.
-
does this bring back any memories from the 70's and possibly very early 80's. from 53secs onwards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnIpQhDn4Zg

aye and at that point we were the best team in the tournment (even though we'd faltered till then),england should have won that tournament
-
How do we know he'll stick with Carr? Because i dont believe KK will know too much about Beye yet and i think he not only rates Carr but thinks he's in good form. Don't get me wrong i'd have Beye over Carr everyday of the week. All well and good, but the backroom staff are the same as when Beye went to Africa, and they know that Beye pisses on Stephen Carr, so I think he will slot straight back in, same with Faye and Martins. he'll know about martins and his mind will be made up as much about fitness (as opposed to vidukas/ameobis unfitness),he'll like the physicality that faye brings....but with beye (who ,although carr has done well enough,i'd bring back in)does he know enough about him to drop someone who has played fairly well ?
-
my team...... given beye taylor cacapa enrique faye milner n'zogbia duff owen martins go for pace and play on the break. unlikely and understandably keegan wont do this as carr has been decent for keegan as has cacapa
