i agree with grassroots to a small extent,re the coaching to youngsters(primarily those outside of acadamies etc) too much of this is left to numpties who have passed an FA badge or two, basically meaning they are safe to work with kids....an annecdote...whilst watching my (at the time)8yr old nephew play for his team, one of his team mates got through on goal, the oppositions manager shouted at his defenders "tek him oot",i volleyed back a "fuckin arsehole"..after the player shot wide the ref done well to go over and have a word with el twatto on the other touchline but by then the damage was done. at that age coaches should be looking for improvment in all parts of football not just victories.

eerrr I'm not saying this to be controversial but we fluked it to the semis Bollocks like. Aye, that particular comment was bollocks. But we were always gonna bottle it. (Didn't see much of the game today, but conceding in the last minute and taking penalties up until breaking point - where we break - backs up my point) THAT is typical England. bottle it....for fucks sake...over half an hours worth of penalties,we got beat,we didnt bottle it

Was gonna say the same, I've completely lost track. Just as well SBR isn't in charge dunno, team sheet would have been easy ................DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA ............DIARRA DIARRA. unless we were playing at home against gus poyet's spurs..... .........................DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA .......DIARRA DIARRA DIARRA ...........DIARRA DIARRA

the way i looked at it was they werent really any better than us and only equalised in the dying minutes.

Whats that even supposed to mean?.. basically, Anelka is a pretty s*** example of demonstrating the ability to sign a top player under contract and happy to stay at a decent club that don't really want to sell, as opposed to hoovering up waifs strays misfits and psychos alex ferguson was shite at it at aberdeen aswell,i wonder how many top players mourinho persuaded to go to braga instead of ac milan.
-
Yes Alan, he didn't. wonder why? probably cos it was a supposedly off the record jokey interview ?
-
PSG are not a top club does that make the situation better or worse regarding Fat Sam's abilities? it means nothing about his abilities,he's lost out on one player to chelsea and maybe one more to germany,i can see why a czech would feel more at home in a germanic country. all managers lose out on some players

beardsley was exactly the same towards us when he before he left for liverpool
-
i didn't just mean him, just that we shouldn't stop looking at other positions just because defenders are a priority
-
Exactly - we need about seven good quality defenders FIRST. Out of the 5 defensive positions (including goalkeeper) we need, ideally, two good players in each position. That equates to 10 players (if we are to be successful) and we currently have 3 (Given/Harper/Taylor). So defenders ONLY, please! you'd turn down another ronaldo cos we haven't signed defenders yet ? "yet" being the word.

NE5's bellamy alarm has just gone off.

where was that like ?

How does Ritgers look playing out wide as a wide forward at Nac Breda? Is he good in this position? He is like the startlet in the NAC BREDA side. he's like the starlet eh ? maybe we should look at the starlet instead then.

I have really, really taking a disliking to these shower of w@nkers in recent seasons but just seeing this ad for their new home kit has p!ssed me off even more. " The New Dicky Dirt " Intolerable bunch of cheating b@stards! wher i'm from "dicky dirt" means birds s***

you forgot john Barnes I didn't, I was going to include him but in comparison he did infinitely better than that lot. And yes, John Barnes was fat & well passed it! and those others werent past it ? and john barnes owed us nowt. Errrrrrrrrrm - I was naming players who had won things, who were household names & came up here & took the proverbial. They were pioneers of other piss takers who were to follow. John Barnes finished as joint top goal scorer (albeit with only 7) in 97/98 (I think). John Barnes was not included in the list. ah get you now, sorry about that,my fault for assuming they would be obscure s*** players who we'd forgotten about. I thought I'd give the title a twist with my list; and some fairly well known players had been mentioned. Here's 4 more that weren't so obscure that you wouldn't remember them but really were crap: Ralph Callachan Mike Larnach Glyn Hodges Rob McDonald oh & how about Wayne Ferraday (he had a better game on The Masters Football the other day than he ever did for us). Someone said Darren Jackson; he was young & decent in a poor team. i saw wayne ferradays good game for us.

now that he owns 77% of the club you'd think,if was going to spend big he wouldn't set a timetable of when it's going to start but would spend what he thought was necessary when necessary. i don't think we'll be spending on as great a scale as some think.
