BBC Radio Newcastle Total Sport done a good one off last Thursday (so still on sounds) focusing on the Champs league run of 20yrs ago but also the other champs league run, loads of interviews and commentary snippets. It's about 20mins into the programme.

I agree with not shunting the qualifiers to the Summer but why does it have to be 18 games ? Why not have 2 qualifying groups,

If you look back at the start of last season we stuttered a bit at the start. For all we were better than, we didn't exactly purr against Wolves,Palace or Bournemouth. It's still early season, things take some smoothing out and we haven't hit our stride yet.

I thought they played a game where they let him have the ball knowing he'd not he creative with it ( a bit like what teams done with Dummet at LB) but he used it to get far enough forward to give them problems. I wouldn't used it as a tactic going forward though.
