Can't? Before Gordon came here he played nearly half his games down the right and his first couple of games here.
-
Always depends on the replacement.
-
And that's a long history. I'm 57, probably missed about 40 home games in the past 45yrs and I'd struggle to judge before McFaul, even then I probably couldnt really judge before Pav and Shaka.
-
Poor is harsh. Can't remember any game I've came out if and thought "Schar was dominated in the air there" and those stats it's based on need nuance.
-
Tino is a different style, more of a break and drive style. Hopefully he learns to take on some of the positions Trippier did to take advantage of. However last week it was Hall given the task of pushing right up and Burn pulling over to cover as a 3.

With a 100% sell on clause.
-
Depends what's included or outside that fee, signing bonuses, agents fees etc I think still need amortisation.
-
Depends what you think captains are, a leader or someone who wears an armband.
-
We can have several captains/leaders, but only one has the arm band. Shearer was England's captain, was Adams any less a leader ?
-
And me as Gordon can also play on the right (but I do think we'll get a RW as well). I think some of the desire to press for Guehi is the personality/character thing. Reading about him from various places....hes a leader, level headed, not a twat.

We tried ? I'd hope we haven't gone in without some encouragement from his side or are we, if it's true, being used as a flush ?
-
That's better . The number is important though.
-
How much did pretty much everywhere have us paying for Miggy etc ? Seems like they almost always get it wrong. Keep thebthread going for players we are linked with but take with buckets of salt the prices "quoted".
-
Did we though ? What I heard was the total would be 65m if all add ons were met, the actual fee is guesswork and hearsay.

It's not so much dropping Hall as going horses for courses. Didn't they say last year some if the plan was to play Joelinton wide left in some away games, same goes here, if it were Bournemouth at home I'd be much more likely to go with Hall, but away Kelly may not be a bad idea. I think we'll go Hall due to the CB situation and having a fresh CB or LB to bring on from the bench (even to go 3 at the back if needs be, which I'll bet has crossed his mind to even start that way) will come into the thinking.
-
And they'll be the type you remember but haven't really missed, like, as you say putting your hand down the back of the sofa and "Oooh there's the spare patio door key.....and a dead battery"
-
Clubs can bid under the release clause and we can sell at that if we want. We don't k ow if any questions about his availability were asked.
-
Then flip him in a year for a profit.
-
Yeah but if you look at the likes of Mudryk, Caicedo and Fernandez, if they shift them on there will be big losses. Seems to me like they're still reliant on selling the new Guehi's and Hall's (and Hotels).

I'm sure in the close season of 23/24 Howe said his plan was to develop and become more possession based. The injuries put paid to that last season but with Tonali coming on and hopefully a more 'normal'season injury wise we'll see if a) that is the plan and b) He's capable of carrying it out.
-
Not really, they played 3 at the back which got them round the initial press and created an overload in the second phase but then it fizzled as they went forward, hence they created little, and didn't look it when we had 11.
-
You went at the wrong times. It was canny when it wasn't rammed.

I had to leave the match at 4:35 yesterday to get to work, on leaving I spotted a group of about 15 mostly middle aged people, one woman had to be 70+, sat outside, most in Newcastle tops listening to the match. Told me they couldn't afford/couldnt get tickets so turn up for the atmosphere and to still feel part of it.

I think we're getting caught between what we now accept and what is a red card. What was more violent, the shove from Brereton Diaz, after the ball was already dead or Schar pushing his head into the others, don't call it a headbutt, it wasn't ? But now "thats a red" why ? Under which rule, if that was the level of violent conduct necessary for a red then 4 or 5 should have been sent off in the resulting melee.
