  1. I don't know what's gonna happen. One week I'm certain we're going down, the next I'm confident we'll stay up. On balance I think we're more likely to stay up, but I say that without any conviction. We are almost 33% the way through the season, if you can't make up your mind now then you never will. Is your mind made up ?

    Dogawful Officiating

Wrong, because then you'll have teams walking off when they are in the wrong. However after the match, after watching issues again, if the manager says "Stuff any fine, that was pathetic, beyond a mistake, so bad I'm thinking it's maybe corrupt"....that may make the authorities sit up if the manager has the evidence to go with it.
  3. It was bleeding obvious after the first 10mins. They comitted foul after foul, no attempt at playing the ball, the whole country knew we'd have the first booking and for fuck all and he carried on in that vein. Has Mclaren ha d owt to say yet ? didn't see any interviews, couldn't stomach watching Sam Fuckingtwathead gloat over a his teams shite performance. Never been more sure of a teasm going down than I am about them by the way.
  4. I was like that before the 0-3 game. Which one? first one.
  5. Nahhh, Chester-Le Street/Stanley/Consett are all like 70/30 in favour of our lot I'd say. Better ask RTG what they think. They seem to cover this topic on a weekly basis. Love the way they just lay claim to areas of the United Kingdom as "sun'lun areas". Who the f*** do they think they are? and you have to remember, mackems all go to the matches, we don't, we watch in pubs and wouldn't know how to get to St James'. (Please ignore facts like attendances etc)
  6. Our midfield is much more of a problem than our defence. That includes playing two CMs wide as well, although I'm not sure that can be avoided. Our first choice back 4 is alright, even if Colo needs replacing. We don't have a first choice central midfield. In january a first choice centre half and centre mid would give us a very decent team.
  7. His job today was to cover in at right back when Janmaat went forward. done nowt else.
  8. Yip. On another day Perez doesn't get the second bite at the cherry and the flag goes up when he's pffside for Gini's header and for all he's done exactly the same, it doesn't look like nearly as good a performance. It's a stat thing "had a hand in 5 goals".
  9. he summed up the game. He wasn't actually all that good but he created four goals (gini could have scored once and would have still had a better all round game), such a bizarre game.
  10. No. Sick of this level of football though, only my partisanship keeps me interested. I wish there was a decent standard non league team for Newcastle North west (basically where Blue Star was)

    Sunderland

All I've heard about this all day is "he'll get them organised", he didn't get us organised, west ham weren't particularly well organised and neither were Blackburn (at the latter two he got average teams to finish in aberage positions). He hasn't got a team to punch above it's weight since a couple of years at Bolton and he's going to have to do that.
  12. De Jong and Perez should start, Anita and Colvback can't start together......How about Back 5 Sissoko/Thauvin Wijnaldum Anita Aarons De Jong Perez
  13. And forgetting Aaron's would have to agree to go there. Don't see that happening myself

    Football pet hates

It'll be a giggs but Gordon Taylor, he's slug like and has a level of hypocrisy only normally reached by some politicians.

    Steve McClaren

Heard some stories about McNamee and Ollie Burton and I actually think Kevin Scott was up for it, always first on the scene and protective of his team mates when things got ugly, his problem was he was so polite in play. No one bullied Shearer and apparently if Benny Kristensen could be roused he was mean, Kevin Dillon had a reputataion that it seemed he was trying to live down when he came here, Joey Barton was/is a pussy in comparisson. On the pitch Billy wasn't that hard but he had a reputation, put him in the car park with a Shearer could be interesting, as much because Shearer could take it.
  16. 100% this. It's turning into a procession. Just out of interest, and a genuine question as I don't know, but how many clubs have won the PL and cups over the years? Were there a lot of different clubs winning stuff like 10 or 20 years ago? Off the top of my head not so much winning it (seemed to be Liverpool) but the chances of a club coming from nowhere (ie the midlands) and winning it were much better, Derby, Forest ,Villa all won it from nowhere. Watford, Norwich , QPR all challenged in teh 70's 80's. Whats the odds now on any team without a sugar daddy doing what us or Ipswich done (getting into Europe from the league the season after promotion)...imagine Norwich finishing 3rd this season.
  17. Even then , tough, we know how the system works, the bloke calling the shots thought it wasn't enough and Berahino can abide by his contract. Like he would expect the club to do if he turned out to be crap. Think Lique, Smith etc, Contracts are a double edged sword but many players want it all one way. Good, I'd like WBA to be bought up and put say to Berahino "Fuck you, your in the stiffs till your contract is up" I've had this stae of thinking since Pierre Van Hooijdonk.
  18. Definitely, If the club think they've done enough then they're wrong.....but they've made a start.
  19. Express saying Pulis is furious he wasn't sold. Apparently this is all sown to the Jeremy Peace guy. Pulis had told Berahino he could leave, and was purposely keeping him out due to their agreement. Explains Berahino's frustration tbh. Pulis told him he could leave. And if the fee offered isn't up to scratch ?
  20. Firstly, just because I said that I thought Sissokos was worse doesn't mean I didn't think Mitros was bad. I mean you could argue that Sissoko got lucky (probably because it was early in the game) and Mitro was slightly unlucky (although I still think it was a red). Secondly I don't really buy that he only booked people because people told him to. Just because he doesn't reach for his card immediately doesn't mean he wasn't going to. Watch him all the way through the game. Gary Neville, who I normally like, got him wrong, he said about him taking his time about the sending off...NO HE DOESN'T. Watch it, his hand goes straight to the back pocket and when you watch when they've reched they don't change their minds. He takes his time to draw the card but he's always doing it. On the yellows he's very quick onto those, I wonder why the only two he doesn't give straight away are those which he gives after being "consulted" ?
  21. You've explained it yourself, didn't give pen to Arsenal. Should've sent off Sissoko more than Mitrovic, booked two players because he was told to (once by Colo, once by Wenger) watched the challenge on Colback, no attempt at the ball and dangerous but not studs up, foul , but not a yellow. He had a poor game which he massively changed after 16mins wrongly.
  22. That intern is really a secret Atletico fan and is going to dine on his story till he's an old man.
  23. He's prepared to go on strike but not say why. Just seems like a player wanting it both ways again ("my contract should be count for little when it benefits me to ditch it but if I turn out to be shit then the contract stands")
