  1. Err Wayne, it wasn't a bad tackle, it was a kick, violent conduct. calling it a tackle makes it seem like you were going for the ball, you weren't.

    Alan Pardew

Define luck. when pardew wins its luck, when we lose its pardew.

    Sunderland

Got a recording on my phone of a mackem mate on Total Sport saying he was "cautiously optimistic" on the eve of the season. Him and Marco go on to discuss all their new signings and that for once the club is going in a "clear direction", especially with Di Fanti in charge of recruitment. It's all gold. YouTube dat. Not yet. If they go down I'll soundcloud it at the end of the season. I'm not jumping the gun yet. good call. I regret not favouriting all of the "revolution" tweets at the start of the season. Would have been gold if they go down Aye If they go down there's a list of threads as long as my arm like the 'green with envy' thread i'd love to dig up. there's some real gold to be found if they go down. Fairly sure I saw a couple of CL shouts pre season championship league perhaps ?
  4. There's a porter where i work who has a walkie talkie but most of his answers are facial expressions ha, theres a bloke at one of the depots where I work who has a gob full of marbles, or at least it sounds like it, no idea what he's saying so as you say I go by facial expressions.
  5. we were in mid table but never deserved a win and were looking more wretched by the game. relagation was coming after us.
  6. Agreed. Now... the game has developed a bit and i'm not so sure a side of his wouldn't get relegated. I thought the same thing about MO'N but S'land would've gotten relegated last season with him at the helm. i think ronaldo was taking the p*ss.............wasn't he ? About Allardyce? Nah. No way we'd have gone down under him, no way in a million years. still can't decide if you're taking the piss. fwiw I think we were dead from the pompey game with him here.

  8. lee clark should do his interviews in writing.
  9. that would be F35 F36 F37...............38 and 39 40,41 and 42.
  10. thats harsh, not as harsh as whining about some woman crying as her home has been wrecked but her family are safe but harsh nonetheless.
  11. As soon as he can see the keyboard through the tears, he'll be here. The irony of this coming from his two biggest fans on here. Both who think he's a good captain. Jokers. Spot the lie in this sentence. Dry your eyes mate. You're the one who wants him to stay. I couldn't give a s*** if a coward who'd rather play in a Mickey Mouse league wants off. Let him go and lets build a defence for the future. One that doesn't get embarrassed by Norwich, Hull and Everton players. He didn't get embarrassed at all today as much as you'd like to paint, he lost 1 very good header, could have done better? yes, Embarrassed? no. Also your second sentence...everything you post these days suggests the other. I want him to stay purely because all of our other CBs have their faults just like Colo does. That back injury he faked has taken it's toll massively. easily could've been embarassed with that header to the back post he left (leazes end) and was knocked back across. he was asleep.
  12. i'll settle for that mutters "he's fucking hard work that dave like"
  13. could've swore the first three or four times today people shouted "shoot" then eventually there was a collective "no" and everybody laughed.
  14. and we weren't desperate when we signed gouffran ? i know what you mean like but different circumstances. I just mean totally unheralded and wins people over with a work rate that they weren't known for.
  15. I thought he was good, not MotM but good. finding a groove and getting back to his best
  16. bloke in our row, after the stewards had twice came into the crowd to take a can of pop off some child, shouting at the stewards to clear the gangways a minute or two from the end as many stood witing for a quick get away "come on , you've nicked kids pop, clear the gangways like your supposed to, nah, you soft as shite"
  17. pissed off watching the second goal, shola throughout his career has done the bit in the middle often enough but has left us screaming "get forward man" but as the ball has came in he's been 30yds out ambling forwards, he drives forward and see what he does. limited player but his own lack of drive has held him back.
  18. yeah, should have made it clear I didn't mean play wise, more so the unheralded arrival etc and the way he's won people over.
  19. reminds me a little of sibierski. brought in cheap when many are wanting cash spent, nobody can see where he's going to get a game but wins everyone over, proper cult hero. edit......keeps up this form could be a shock world cup call up ? that adaptability and work rate that he wasn't known for coulds be great for a squad.

    Alan Pardew

The flat 4-4-2 with Shola was fine in the first half, we created plenty of chances. Had some bad moments defensively mind. The problem in the second half wasn't the formation, it was that we stopped pressing, sat deep and invited pressure. I don't hate Pardew but I get totally p*ssed off when we get a lead and do this. Its ridiculous, has cost us points and we show no signs of changing it. was it a decision to do that today though, gouffran can't keep up the pressure for 90, cabaye's substitution was more fatigue than tactical and sissoko had been away aswell. do you think the plan is to sit so deep after taking a lead ? seemed like we ran out of legs more than anything tactical. Lost count of how many times I've read this post in the last three years. majority of the time you'd probably have had a point, not sure about today though. Even though the manager has admitted it afterwards? "We went out to protect it after half time. I put them in the wrong mode with the wrong words" That is how we play under Pardew. Always has been, always will be. plan due to the lack of legs perhaps, cabaye and gouffran looked shagged second half and remy not far behind. tactics dictated by circumstances maybe ?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

That didn't happen. that down in the leazes/west stand corner ? sissoko was right if thats the occasion you're thinking of, he kept away leaving ben arfa one on one which was what we should want for him, ben arfa seemed to want sissoko to come in and drag in another defender with him. there was an occasion in the middle when ben arfa was left to it and we did stand still, cant remember sissoko pointing on that occasion though.
