  1. Arteta seemed as magnanimous as we'd expect.
  2. Equals itself out. Exercise-Good......Stress-Bad.
  3. Apart from not booking Martinelli, seemingly because it was too early.
  4. And that wasn't enough for the rebuild needed. 3 centre halves, Beardsley, Shearer, Asprilla, Ginola, Ferdinand all gone or long-term injured.

Does anyone want to stay with no changes?
  6. What aren't you getting ? KKs team was falling to bits and the money wasn't there to rebuild. SBR wouldn't have been working with prime Howey, Albert, Beardsley. Sales had to be made to pay for the Shearer move add in the long-term Injuries to Shearer and Asprilla

    In memoriam

We were on holiday at Berwick caravan park and my constant whinging made my dad bring us back (non driver so bus) early for the match. I was convinced the two wingers ploy would get us promoted and Nigel Walker would be what Gazza actually turned out to be. I booed Vic Halom ferociously in their very very royal blue tops
  8. So why didn't he win us a title later ? SBR couldn't have made Albert or Howey play more then half a season, he couldn't have healed Shearer, he couldn't have changed the finances for Sir Les, he couldn't stop Beardsley ageing. He might have turned Ginolas head back.
  9. The money wasn't there and we needed to replace 6 or 7 first teamers. Keegans team was falling to bits, it's why he left.
  10. He also brought in Given, Speed, Solano, Hamman. The squad needed rebuilding and the money wasn't there.

Ahh you've noticed the HAVE !

That's pretty much my view and all my match going mates (all ST holders). There may be a few more match day tickets for members but I doubt it'll be substantially more and really would only see a small increase in the number of ST's.
  13. Howey and Albert were getting injured regularly, Sir Les was sold to balance the Shearer signing then Shearer got injured, Beardsley legs were giving way, Ginola wanted away after Barce were interested. It's quite probable Keegan left because there was a rebuild needed but the money wasn't there.
  14. It's happened a few times, where if the other team will commit a CH to follow him when he drops deep, he'll often struggle. Huijsen done this very well against him.
  15. There was a Gateshead game last season where, mid way through the first half, after not seeing a clear pen and giving g a load of decisions where both teams had to wait for him to point which way as no o e had a clue why the ref had stopped play...... without seemingly being Injured, he took himself off.
  16. They may well have but what has also happened to the wage bill etc in that time .
  17. Do they have to ? I thought providing the agreements on the deal were sorted then stuff like that could be completed after the deadline.
  18. This. Clubs can have spells where things seem to go right and others seem to view it as a blueprint (Southampton bringing youth through, Boro before them, the Brighton system etc) sometimes it's a statistical fluke (Leicester) and even legit systems that work can't stay still.

Do they ? Can't say I've noticed Man Utd and Liverpool do it.

Forest (Mull of Kintyre), Stoke (Delilah), Us (Blaydon races though getting less now for some reason) Sheffield Utd (Annie's song), Mackems (Wise men say) to name a few.
