  1. depends on the circumstances ie provocation etc and any previous.
  2. people are more likely to believe it as it helps them to forgive carroll whatever.
  3. IF TRUE.....and if we were looking in as neutrals we'd say "can't blame him"
  4. Promotion is a stepping stone, not an end in itself. If Hughton is bowing to player power now we’ll be f***ed the next time the going gets tough. It's the only thing that matters for the time being. Hughton can deal with it after we're confirmed as being up. If that means selling one or the other, or both, then fair enough. If dropping Carroll for a game or two is going to us cost promotion when were ten points clear of third with 8 games to go, our position in the league must be a fluke. As always with Ashley’s NUFC we have no idea what is going on, but there was always going to be more to this than Taylor’s a c*** so everything is OK. I'm actually quite pleased that NUFC haven't commented on the incident. Sometimes saying nowt is the right decision. I hope it's dealt with 'in-house'. We've washed our dirty linen in public far too often under previous chairmen in the not-so-distant-past... Ignorance is bliss? I'd rather the club said nothing than revealed all of the gory details about what went on. I'd much rather we continued winning games with a settled side for the time being and did whatever needed to be done when it suited us rather than the media. I don’t want to know the gory details, only that the club understands dressing room indiscipline and professionalism don’t mix. Saying/doing nothing at all doesn’t do that. Would you also discipline Taylor for sending texts/making inappropriate commets to Carroll's lass? yes but a differing sort to that to someone for smashing someones jaw in a long line of violent incidents. Absolutely. There is no excuse for breaking someone's jaw, but I don't believe Taylor is innocent in all of this. so you are agreeing that they should both be disciplined, one for yet a nother violent offence and one for sending inappropriate texts ? Aye, but I am not saying the disciplinary action should be the same for each. why ? Wh do you think? so what action do you think should be required for a player who has a police caution for a violent offence, is due in court for a violent offence, then breaks a team mates jaw for sending dodgy texts ? No idea. Good job it's not up to me eh? good answer tbh.
  5. thats what i've done. i very rarely have any doubles above 2.5. it seems like nothing when betting £5 but i bet an average of 10% my kitty per bet. anything more than a treble and the cash comes down whereas some singles i'll increase it.
  6. It might have a bearing if Taylor didn't have previous history when it comes to negotiating a new contract. I see NOTW the leading national Sunday rag is trumpeting his cause today. Nice use of the media Steve. Very classy. bizzarre really....normaly anything in the news of the screws is a lie.....till you can use it to blacken somebody. edit........"previous history when it comes to negotiating a contract"..........fucking hell

  9. Zip..... but then I've also lost zip. I only ever 'bet' when I can influence the outcome.. it really is a mugs game. Nonsense, it's only a mugs game if you make it a mugs game, plenty of people can and do make livings from it. Probably the ones that can influence the outcome i've been in profit the last 3 years.. after putting an original £25 into the account, which was then matched by the company, bet won, took out my original stake. since then i've took over £600 out and had to put £25 in. £225 in the kitty now and i promise i wont take any out for holidays, xmas etc. this time till its really worth it. i know people who have won a lot more....aswell as some who've lost a lot more but then, i'm a very conservative punter. Please post your bets prior to the games, i'm currently funding Mr Paddy Powers yacht. I echo the sentiment. i do post quite a few and i never post about winning if i hadn;t posted them first.. the in play bit is key to this. you have a treble, the last part of which kicks off later...if the first 2 come up the i lay the last game to at least my stake. in many singles if my choice takes a lead, i'll lay to my stake so i cant lose.
  10. i wonder what peoples opinions would be if carroll were a reserve plodder and taylor had been still in the first team and perfroming well ?

  15. come on towelie...... Mr Zero has laid the benchmark for the info we are after. saying that there's nothing in the seadish league i'm tempted with this weekend
  16. i'll bet you a pint he has a full england cap before december 31st 2011. I'll be surprised if anyone in the current U-21 squad doesn't have a full cap by then. Doesn't justify the stupid headlines which suggest Carroll is going to be called up for the world cup. shush man.

  20. it's only when it gets obvious that anything can be done..ie our peterborough league cup team. Every league cup team picked by Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal & Man United too. exactly...so we can see when a team is deliberatly under strength and the premier league has those rules to apply. not sure if the same rules apply in the league cup/FA cup etc. Mind they should be able to pick whatever side they want. within reason. You can't quantify "within reason" though. That's the problem, which means that managers should be able to pick who they want. and they do. it's only when a manager goes so way over the top that he has to be pulled up about it.
  21. nah i like it when the likes of watford, swindon, barnsley come up. even better if they hang round for a season or two. nowt worse than the same faces there all the time. even us going down was probably good for the game, certainly good for the championship.
