Well, we are losing a brilliant striker and definitely one of the best in the league It's not as if the club are showing a lack of ambition by letting him go on the cheap. He had a clause which we've battled to have removed from his contract. It was out of our hands.

It's not a great idea, but it's inevitable that he was going to. Best to get the deal done early so we've got the rest of the month to pretend we're looking for his replacement rather than get to the end of January and say "well we didn't have time to get one in".
