  1. They had Michael Essien signing for them yesterday
  2. Because ever since Martin O'Neill claimed to be a boyhood SunLun fan however many years ago, they have clamoured for him to be their manager, and now he is, even though its no better than under Bruce, they still won't blame or criticise him. They seem to be under the impression that O'Neill without Robertson is the same as Clough without Taylor.... and if/when they are back working together, things will suddenly improve. This, basically.
  3. I'm missing tonight's match. First home game I haven't been able to get to this season. With that in mind, we'll win.
  4. I've said it before and i'll say it again - I think it's absolutely ridiculous to suggest he should be sacked. The first real bad run of form in his time at the club and we should hit the panic button? When has chopping and changing managers ever served us well? I think there's a reality check required. I do understand these frustrations because I share a lot of them however I don't see getting rid of him as the magic bullet that will solve all our problems. In fact I think should the club and Pardew come out the other end of this we'll be much stronger for it. Thankfully we've an owner who has full faith in Pardew and doesn't give a shit what we think which means unless we're floating around the bottom three come Spring he's staying.
  5. I'm glad to see Perch back. His best position is centre mid IMO. Anita looked handy in an attacking sense when playing at full back earlier in the season too.
  6. So there's nothing wrong with it you mean? Exactly. Loud and proud over here. Not sure i understand. I've just came out. What's so gay about this thread then? You. What do i do to make this thread so gay then? Pls tell me. Just, like, going about putting your cock in men's bums and that. Being all flamboyant and fabulous, you know? That's how it started for me anyway.

  9. This thread's gay as fuck tbh.
  10. His distribution is fucking awful. If I was Pardew I'd fine him every time he boots it long (other than a GK). Have him releasing the ball quickly to either Santon, Coloccini or Simpson.
  11. We reverted to it for the last 20 minutes of the game yesterday, which is irritating as it suggests Pardew knows we can play it. Krul Simpson - Williamson - Coloccini - Santon Perch - Tiote Anita Marveaux - Cisse - Ba Anita played his best football yesterday when pushed further forward in the Cabaye role. He's a good passer of the ball if not a yard or two off the pace of the Premier League, so he should at least be able to put a few neat moves together. Perch is a beast in centre midfield, so I'd have him in alongside Tiote if he's fit. If we play like we have against Stoke (442, humping it long) we'll get soundly beaten.
  12. He's right, the players do need to take some of the blame however an admission his tactics aren't working would be welcomed. The fact he reverted to 433 for the last 20 minutes or so suggests he realises he's somewhat culpable.
  13. Calls journalists by there first names and spits his dummy out big time should anyone dare to criticise him (I think he had a huge falling out with a local paper in Birmingham when he was in charge of Villa).
  14. If Boaz Myhill wasn't such a fucking dolt they'd have got beat 4-0 there.
  15. He played up top against Leicester at home on his tod and put in a brilliant performance. Won MOTM and the press started linking him with Man City the next day IIRC
  16. Not the point I'm trying to make. Our rise from that position has been pretty meteoric and we need a little perspective when we go on a poor run of form rather than throwing the toys out of the pram. All of this is has been brought about because we've lost two games on the spin and drew against a European side little of us know about but think we still should be beating anyway. In the context of what we've sat through in previous years this shouldn't really register. I understand and agree with concerns over performances and tactics but all this chatter of sacking the manager is simply bizarre and reminds me that there is a section of our fanbase who do their utmost to justify the media's obsession with deluded Geordies.
  17. http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/computer-close-hulk.gif I still think he has bought himself time with last seasons finish of 5th. Not sure if our football will improve, or depends on what your definition of football is. We wont go down, we'll bobble aout picking up points and will be safe... IF he carries on like this and we are dropping more home points then I think the sword will fall, as much as Pardew is their man, they are a pair of ruthless buggers. He's just been given an 8 year deal. The club want stability and I'm absolutely certain that unless there's a genuine threat of relegation he'll remain in post and rightly so. Chopping and changing managers has never been conducive to good results, particularly at NUFC. The worst thing Pardew could've done was finish fifth last season. People seem to have forgotten we were a Championship side three years ago. We were playing in the Championship, but our team definitely wasn't. It was bad enough to get relegated to it, it was a Championship team. The team, after some changes, showed they had nothing to do in the Championship. That's moot. We were there on merit.

  19. I think an away game may do us the world of good. The atmosphere at SJP has became poisonous over the past few weeks when things haven't went our way. It's clear having a bit of an impact on some of the more fragile squad players, like Sammy.

  22. Fuck off We're a goalkeeper away from being able to put out a passable starting XI. Three of our starting four midfielders are crocked as are two or three of their immediate replacements. Any club would struggle with injuries like that. There are issues that need to be addressed, like our tendency to go direct from goal kicks. That's a concern and I've been whinging about it on here for a while, however to write off the impact that injuries have had on us is just daft.
  23. He looks like a player who has absolutely no faith in his own body.
