  1. Where did you get that from? I'm pointing out that at least unlike some people on this board who have disapeared from the football forum on a couple of occaisons, strangely enough when it was all going down the toilet, to suddenly reappear when it was all OK that at least people like Inochi and Ian were at least still 'fighting thier cause' in the face of a lot of opposition.
  2. I'd put it down to people being a bit more emotional towards the club than others. At least they're not just some part-time posters who have just come back again after everything has turned out OK to try and wind people up. I've not agreed with much that you've said in the various threads but at least you have been present battling in your corner and at least arguing your case, not just turning up to belittle people. #SOOPAFANPOSTER These people aren't genuine - if they are, then they need to seek urgent professional advice. You'd have thought we'd been relegated with the way they're posting. It's not been pretty, it's not been as straightforward as it should have been, but it's done now. If you're genuinely angry or wanting to do something about the situation, then go and help out KI and his "fruitless protest" at the weekend. If you're not able to do that, then chip in with the other sensible idea in that thread of putting the failings that you've seen all season into words and figures that can be distributed to the media/club/fans. Do something proactive about the club you love, or do something else. All this negativity must be ruining your mood. And there you go again. Guess I struck a nerve then. I'm not feeling particularly negative. Ambivalent, disappointed at another wasted season, but not screaming and preparing to jump off a tall building at the news that Pardew is probably going to be here next year.

  4. I hope so (EDIT: a reply to Dave in regards to Cabaye improving after a proper summer's rest) . Even after what we've seen this season any talk of selling him on is madness. We've seen he can be a great asset to the team last year, he's just got to get his head back into NUFC and prirmarily football itself.
  5. I've got to agree with you there. Had a dreadful start to the season, which was written off due to tiredness from the Euros and the injury that kept him out at the back end of last year. He had a few matches on his return where he was looking decent again which made it look this train of thought was correct, but quickly returned to his start of season form. Whether you can attribute the coaching at the club, depression or he's got his eye on the exit door his form this season has been poor especially from the man alleged to be the captain for a lot of the time. He's the figurehead that you expected to see drag us through matches but he's appeared to not really want to drag himself onto the pitch the past couple of months.
  6. So has Cisse this season.
  7. Aye, it's a poorly cobbled together junk piece that looks like it is taken from other post-match reviews with a purely speculative headline based on a line within the 'article' that has no quotes attributed to it. Typical of the Chronicle really.
  8. You can include the number of enjoyable cup matches on that hand as well to be honest. If this is true then Ashley is taking another massive gamble that there are going to be three appalling teams in the league next year. Keeping Pardew in charge for what can be nothing more than cost is possibly the most moronic thing that Ashley has done since he bought the club.
  9. Thought most of them would have taken the bus to the finish line any way to be honest.
  10. The most dangerous finisher in football. Took Best out for a month or so didn't it. The start of Harper's heel turn.
  11. Whether he's said these comments in jest, seriously or through relief at not being relegated, the simple fact is that as the main figurehead and spokesman at the club he IS a monumental moron to say he'd take a 4-0 hammering at home after overseeing two of our worst home performances in a generation.
  12. And I hope we bum Arsenal in the face and get as high up the league as we can. Those few places are worth cash that Carr can use to get a new player in. If the owner and chairman cannot see the busted flush we have in charge, taking account of the debacle from November to January and current form into account after giving him the resources he needed, then one fixture isn't going to change thier view of him.
  13. Basically, this. Yep, although I like the derby. It's being as small-minded as a Mackem but it would at least give this season a highlight for us.
  14. After this season though I can't see that big an offer being made for him.
  15. The only out I would disagree with is Tiote - his stock will have fallen pretty far this season and I'd like to see him given an opportunity to get some of his form back under a new manager and real coaches.
  16. Sticking with Yes. Having him here next season gives the RELEGATIONOMETER another airing next season.
  17. To be honest that set penis looks typical of the management this season with the '2nd Phase Score' bollocks. Basically it's directing a few players and with a bit of luck it's going to fall to one of our players when it's missed it's intended target and we'll score from that.
  18. This has the potential to be as bad as Channel 5's coverage with the insightful and charismatic John Barnes as it's main face. I miss the red-button option that the BBC had in World Cup 2006 when you could select crowd noise only. That can only have been canned because of bruised egos of the pundits.
  19. Feel a bit sorry for the Everton fans, but they were probably resigned to him leaving this summer anyway. Personally I think he's earned his shot at the big team but just feel that taking over straight after Taggart is going to be the cliche' poisioned chalice. Anyway, Neil, 1878 and any other Everton lads out there, I hope to that your board take their time and don't make any mental decisions (Mark Hughes for example).
  20. Everton fans must be ecstatic! http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/mark-hughes-in-the-running-to-replace-david-moyes-at-everton-8608728.html To be honest, the story implies a lot based on the fact that he's not actually directly shown any interest. If it was us though
  21. I'm in the want him gone / think he'll still be here camp. He's survived the debacle of November - January and that speaks volumes to me. Personally I think that the trigger should have been pulled at 3pm on the day of the Brighton match. If we do manage to stagger through and avoid relegation he's going to get pulled in to explain the situation with the team and will use the injuries / experience / tiredness / bad luck with decisions cards to blag his way through.
