It's going to end up being "They knew we had xx million from the Cabaye deal so they were quoting stupid prices" or something, isn't it.

Don't start this shit again Man City, could do without the mackems doing a Wigan in the final.

Getting in there early to avoid the block on a flood of gloating mackems if they win the cup, cunning tactic

Exactly what I was thinking

I like these guys.

Conversely, Poyet went around all the players asking if they were up for taking them and organised them to his liking, and they still pulled out a performance that would have dumped them out of the competition 9.5 times out of 10

I'd love to have a Wembley final to go to, but going there and losing was fucking shit. Made worse my sharing service stations on the way back packed with Man U fans sitting looking bored and munching their Burger King as if they'd just drawn a pre-season friendly. No bugger remembers the runners up and I don't think even the most ardent Newcastle fan brings it up as a particular achievement. That said, they've got themselves a real chance of a trophy and if they win it after beating Chelsea, Man U and Man City they deserve it.

I think the penalty performance is symptomatic of the complete lack of confidence the team has in their own ability. If that's their fault or the manager's, I dunno.

Trying to explain why Man U are saying they've not been in contact I guess.

At least we could have a bit of optimism that we'll try to challenge for something instead of going through the motions of staying in the division and nothing else, obviously that could turn to s*** knowing our luck. ....and is a comparison with Hull or Cardiff how we want to see our club...?? They were just examples of where an owner has done something drastic which most people opposed. Like changing the name of St Jame's Park and that.

Everton above Liverpool, RAWK will love that. They were incredulous enough that Spurs were level with them.

"Let's get Remy to rumble" being sung at West Ham apparently

Is it my pessimism or lack of faith in Lee Ryder that makes me not want to bother updating the thread title with this morning's Chronicle's "No bid received" headline? By the way, I blame this guy http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,93045.msg4795152.html#msg4795152

But, even as Martinez concedes if they got a great offer they'd have to sell, compare how he talks about his players to what Pardew says
-
I just don't think he understands.
-
I'd be surprised if the money was used for anything more than getting to keep Loic Remy and replacing Cabaye with Cabella.

From what I can see it came from a 20/21 year old on twitter. Why are you questioning it? Not unless a load of other random people are in on it. Because they have French sounding names? I suppose Jean Micloud and Pierre Sossison are more reputable than those who retweet Colin Warris's tweets. Because they were watching Canal+ too at the time. https://twitter.com/antnparis/status/424991323645833216 Also mentioned by the guy who does the English language sections of the PSG website and presents PSG TV http://bleacherreport.com/users/1710966-jonathan-johnson Jonathan Johnson @Jon_LeGossip Canal+: PSG & Newcastle agreement for Yohan Cabaye (€26m). Transfer to go through if MHSC's Remy Cabella joins Magpies. #PSG #NUFC #MHSC Jonathan Johnson @Jon_LeGossip Well there you have it! PSG's reaction to Rabiot injury according to Canal+ is to agree fee with Newcastle for Cabaye. #PSG Jonathan Johnson @Jon_LeGossip Montpellier coach Courbis refused to elaborate on rumours that Cabella is deep in talks with Newcastle earlier. Move real possibility.

David Moyes has now managed 48 Premier League away games against Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United without winning a single one.

Didn't that happen like 7 years ago? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/6249213.stm Just to rub it in, the club statement
