The action against Twitter has led to foreign media which is considered respected enough for a cite to run the story and name the player involved, which means the injunction and the affair allegations are now on his Wikipedia page, with those attempting to redact them as 'unsourced gossip' through talk pages and edit wars seemingly admitting defeat.

It's absolutely absurd, and while if there had been no injunction, this entire thing would have just blown over with a shrug of the shoulders at another footballer who can't keep his pants on, it''s now also the legal story of the past 5 years and it seems destined to be a much bigger thing than it could have been. The guy's a complete fuckwit, as well as a cunt.

And how does legal action against Twitter fit into this masterplan, when its clearly only greatly increasing public pressure to remove the injunction and making it more likely to end up all over the papers before the final?
