Thought he was pretty awful today, but what struck me was his warming up at half time. Fuck me, if he's like that in training no wonder he doesn't get picked and always looks knackered. A row full of lads doing those jogging knee circle things and there's Nile, sticking out like a sore thumb and jogging along, lifting his foot about 2 inches off the ground while everyone else has their knee at chest hight. Same with the twists, everyone with their elbows out, swinging back and forth, with Ranger with his arms down and slightly bent. Then they get in a circle and ask him to to in the middle and he slouches in like Kevin the Teenager being sent to his room. When they do drugs tests do they test for weed or just performance enhancers?

Good point, well deserved. Thought he'd given them a pen at the end, instead of a yellow for diving. Should have booked that little twat in the first half as well. Looked like a pen on loven from the stands like. Giggs and Rooney should have buried those chances mind. Great performance all round really, enjoyed Owen's welcome.

Presumably Nani will win Young Player of the Year and we'll have a YPotY that's three years older than the PotY.
-
Which one's he going to take this one on then?

RT @OptaJoe 36% - Sunderland have hit the target with just 36% of their attempts, a lower percentage than any other team in the Premier League. Skew.
-
Could have just turned the barstool upside down and got four of them on it.
-
Someone was telling me they have the worst form of any top tier team in Europe.

When people start singing the Colocini song at first it sounds like everyone's doing the jaws theme.

Not deluded enough to go to Liverpool.

If Pardew is telling the truth (ho ho!) is there anything here which could be considered tapping up?

These lot seem to reckon 8.5m http://www.caughtoffside.com/2011/04/13/newcastle-manager-denies-any-deal-with-liverpool-for-8-5m-left-back/ Well, of course we want to keep our best players, you only took the job because you knew we wouldn't sell them, after all.

Certainly sounds like a mackem like.

Yeah, they voted against it yesterday http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13054948.stm

Man U did it by going into debt to fuel success, Arsenal did it by not selling their promising young talents the second it started to grow facial hair and leaving someone in charge of the club for more than half a season. None of these many clubs who we are apparently modelling ourselves on bear any resemblance to Newcastle under Ashley in any shape or form and most of them are the complete antithesis of Mike's chaotic regime.
-
But I thought every penny was going to be reinvested into the squad?
-
We have £35m to buy a striker in a market where a young lad who's played half a season in the prem is worth £35m and Fernando Torres is worth £50m. Could we attract a player of Carroll's potential, who would accept wages in within our structure as Carroll was apparently willing to?
-
As opposed to those who blindly oppose the actions of those who currently own this football club? Regardless of what they do, it's the wrong thing to do. Period. If they launched a foreign aid organisation, I'm sure some would find something negative in it - "We're wasting money that could be used on keeping Enrique". A bit like how some people see something positive in everything they do, be it getting us relegated or selling our best asset after not even getting half a season of prem football out of him.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6867249,00.html Ha, that'll learn him! Knew we'd get one back on the scousers, I can just picture them now "OMG but the waaagggeeesss, the deebbbbbtt." Must be devastated, black arm bands for the unveiling lols.

Still think he'll end up back here one day.
