  1. know it's a small thing but i like how he turned around quickly and pointed to gayle/perez. for some reason it irks me when players don't give out props for people setting up their goals.

  3. I guess better put - the things he does well I enjoy watching more. Towering headers, rifled shots, his actual gait and style of running when in full flight. Messi's (obviously!) not unimpressive I just have a little less appreciation for the dribbling and flair.
  4. hi, biased and dumb guy here. long time listener, first time caller. Just wanted to say I think ronaldo is very cool and good and i like watching him more than I do messi.
  5. Strange post. There wouldn't be any discussion about Mitrovic if our top striker had managed more than 5 goals all season. Or if we didn't look useless in front of goal every week. To call what's gone on the last 100 pages or so a "discussion" is generous on a level I didn't know existed. Discussions usually have finish lines. Outcomes. Not circular arguing by people talking past each other with fingers in their ears going "la la la can't hear you." Not one single step of progress has been made towards consensus or answering the plaintive mating cry of the blue tailed mitrononce as it warbles "but why, but why" in its nest. It's all very pointless. As is complaining about it, I'm aware. But I've got it off my chest now, so as you were.

  7. but why but why but why but why *furiously tugs weird little serbian pud* why joselu why why but why not mitro *is a nonce* why why wahhhhhh WAHHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHHHH *sound of 5000 screaming babies in an echo chamber* EVERY. FUCKING. DAY.
  8. he's seen a decade and a half of the meals i've eaten and the shirts i've bought and still decided to follow my advice, absolutely no one to blame but himself
  9. Are all of these questions rhetorical? I mean, no one here is Rafa, as far as I know, so we can't really give precise answers. Any guesses we do have are just going to be badgered with more questions and answered with more guesses and it all gets a bit stupid after a while. Either you trust he made the right decision or you don't. Mitro may end up doing very well in another team but wouldn't have worked here under Rafa or would have required an entirely different system and changes Rafa didn't like. I'll trust Rafa to get it right without him.
  10. although ... Editorial standards are appalling these days
  11. It seems poorly implemented now if the wait is genuinely that long. I didn't watch the match but if it's causing ridiculous stoppages then it's shite. That said, i genuinely believe reducing the capacity for human error to be a good thing and not draining of the soul of the sport. in any sport. someone is either onside or they're not, it's not a judgement call. I think a good balance of application has to be found and maybe the results of the first iteration of an idea shouldn't be used as a bludgeon against future improvements.
  12. I know you're being sarcastic but all of that sounds wonderful imo.
  13. I thought i'd get tired of it but his OTT ridiculous analogies haven't gotten old
