  1. We can watch for free on espn360.com Not sure about actual tele.
  2. Even if it's somehow proven, in 20 years time, that relegation was a necessary or positive move, it still will not have been down to any positive intent on Mike Ashleys part. While I (still) don't think he sets out with evil in his heart, it's what happens. When good happens it seems to be out of dire necessity or accident.
  3. Surely if it was only for this season he would deserve much higher than a 4? We're top of the league and we've made some good signings. For this season? CategoryGradeReason Manager selection0/2Don't see how this was even a question - he had no options. Didn't reappoint an ailling jfk in a panic? not worth a point. Backing the Manger1/1Spent, even though we had to resort to some plan B's Strategy0/2Have yet to see a cohesive plan from the man. "Get back to the premiership" is so glaringly obvious I can't consider it worth a point. Finances2/2I'm sure the loans he's giving us to keep us afloat will have to be paid back some day; that doesn't make them not a good move at this point in time. Media management0/1hahahahahahahahaha General runnming of the club1/2sportsdirect@st james park
  4. Are these marks for this season only or since the beginning? 4 if the former, 1 if the latter.
  5. http://imgur.com/SbfvB.jpg Should never occur that that's not given as a goal. Never. (I fully realize such incidents are few and far between, but why accept imperfection?)
  6. Rubbish decision. Make no bones about the science and technology in lighter kits or better balls or better pitch conditions or magic spray or shinguards or shoes or drink for athletes or sports medicine or even headsets on refs nowadays BUT GOD FUCKING FORBID A GOAL BE CORRECTLY CALLED ALL THE TIME, LET'S KEEP TECHNOLOGY OUT OF IT LADS edit: *inhales, calms down*
  7. Too many ifs and buts could change my opinion on it. IF we keep Hughton and IF we don't invest well in players, then yes. We should be happy with 17th place on goal difference. Move that finish up a few notches IF we replace Hughton and/or IF we flesh out the squad with quality. Being the eternal optimist/brain damaged manchild that I am, I went ahead and voted "No" in the hopes he'll be replaced and Ashley will put up £10m for players, before any sales.
  8. Think Arsenal, of the top 3 right now, have the easiest sailing till the end of season. Would love them to sneak it, not because I like them any just hate the other two more.
  9. You got a link for that mate? I'd be interested to see where Newcastle figure. Not to steal KSH's thunder, but I was just looking at them myself after that post : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Average_attendances_of_European_football_clubs a solid 18th.
  10. If I remember from articles down the years, German clubs and the league itself are fantastically well run compared to their English/Spanish/Italian counterparts. Not surprising to see them make up 25% of that list despite not being considered a powerhouse league. Huge attendance numbers for clubs across the board.
  11. Have you seen the size of Smith lately? I think the last thing he needs is to be hanging around Nolan anymore.
  12. Not particularly bothered one way or the other. "He's proven down the years that he puts away chances like that" from Brackley though, almost made me put a fist through the monitor. No, our relegation didn't rest on the head of any one single player, but down the home stretch he let us down big time.
  13. It was a standard win in that we were able to scrape a goal somehow and then rely on the only consistently good part of our team - the defense - to carry us. That's what the difference was.

  15. Always disheartening to hear "if he would just look up" from a commentator
  16. Glad we got the 2nd before the inevitable smith sending off.
