Frankly I think the whole thing is theatre from all parties: PL don't want to be seen as being complicit in "sportswashing" so they couldn't approve. An immediate rejection ran the risk of being resolved before the season started and we would have become too strong. A deal was struck between PL, PIF, Stavely, RB, NUFC et al that the PL would dawde until it was too late and then reject However, the deal also outlined that the PL would now hand over (guaranteed) approval to the appeals committee, an even more opaque and impenetrable group/process, thus saving face The Big Six shadow cabal has approved this plan of action and the 2020/2021 season script setting up for NUFC ascension is wild.

What's he fucking saying there I can't make heads or tails of it

Aye, our "one out one in" policy really tended to skew to seeing the outs go well before the ins came, if they did at all. This is strange

nothing will ever be wilder than bookending Rafa's tenure of austerity with sprees for actual real life goblins McClaren and Bruce.

Bruce is a chicken dish from an upscale steakhouse - troubling, confusing, a bit out of place and ultimately unsatisfying but not actually poisonous. Pardew is a hippo shitting into a warehouse fan that you're strapped in front of clockwork orange style.

If true I feel it means we must be selling one of Lejeune, Fernandez, Lascelles or Schar. No way we'd bring in a loan just for cover/rotation purposes.
