I don't see it as overpaying either. He's an established striker who is still very young with potential to be even better. It's not a steal but absolutely fair value IMO. I know I would rather pay £60m for him than Gordon (who I like too).

I think it's harsh to call them even mistakes. Chelsea goal was world class movement, pass and first touch, not every goal can be stopped. Even the over aggressiveness on the Everton goal is understandable, they had a man sent off and clock was ticking so Burn wanted to intercept it right away. Just simply disrespecting to mention Burn and Bramble in a same sentence, the guy has been rock solid and has saved us this season with his inexplicable versatility to play LB too.

I'm a sad cunt so read through Redcafe's other games thread and everyone raved about him. Things like 'we fucked up not buying him pre-takeover', ASM>>>Sancho and him being valued at £70m-100m now. Just shows how good he is when everything clicks. That interview with Trippier is lovely and shows that it's not just Howe who's trying to help him fulfill his potential. Exciting times and if he can play like that consistently we'll have a great season. Really want that RW so he gets more space against every team and can replicate what he did today more often.
