  1. Sensational first half. Can’t be mad even if we end up losing this, we are making ridiculous progress.
  2. Get in! ASM has been absolutely brilliant.
  3. The 'clear and obvious' obviously doesn't apply for offsides.
  4. Leicester are so poor, can’t see Rodgers lasting for long.
  5. Sancho has had a rough start but I don't think anyone who had seen him at Dortmund thought it was too much money for him.
  6. Perisic will be a starter soon.
  7. It’s 2022, I probably watched close to 40 Liverpool games last season and I’m a NUFC fan. I don’t think the opinion of a home and away fan matters that much anymore. Look at some of the whoppers who are on this forum!
  8. Maybe some casual racism?
  9. I remember Bruno getting over 2xG for his three shots against Leicester inside few seconds when he ended up scoring. The free models can have flaws like that but it’s still better than anything else. I still don’t understand KI’s argument but there are more qualified people in the thread now.
  10. Very interesting stuff @Rich, cheers!
  11. Well it’s simple really and I know you know it too. Four 0.10xG shots is more likely to end with a goal than one 0.35xG shot. Crystal Palace had only few shots but most were high xG chances. Liverpool had a couple of good chances and lots of 0.05-0.12xG shots and their volume puts them ahead of Palace. Why is xG at wrong here? It’s not meant to show which team had the better chances but to calculate every shot together to give one viewpoint of how the game was. If someone looks just at regular stats where goal attempts were 24-7 they would think that Liverpool absolutely battered Palace whereas xG shows that it was much closer due to the high quality of Palace’s attempts.
  12. I hope this is the last summer we are doing loan deals to us but can live with it this season as we are just that desperate for more attacking options.
  13. Where did you get those numbers? Infogol has 2.34-1.49 and Understat 2.24-1.64. Think those haven’t been adjusted yet though as they have the late Andersen chance as a 0.45 when it wasn’t that good a chance imo. Liverpool had 24 shots and loads of 0.06-0.10xG shots. Crystal Palace only had 7 shots. Zaha’s open goal was from a tight angle and neither one-on-one was that easy. Goal he scored was pretty wide again and he fucked up the first touch on the other so Allison got to a great position. Seems pretty fair to me. edit. Twitter seems to report the 1.85-1.05 the most.
  14. Nunez' finishing has been clumsy today, can see why some Benfica fans said what they said. And then he does that.
  15. I’ve never seen a house say he wants out like Raphinha and Richarlison did. Or declare where they want to be sold to like Raphinha. Ahh, that discussion was over ten pages ago.
  16. Goalie looked scared that the ball might hit him from the post.

They would have deserved to win today too. Nice to see Bruce being on the receiving end of bad luck for once. Explains why WBA fans are not that unhappy yet as they somehow seem to be playing really well despite the results.
  18. Everton also have loads of wingers and attacking midfielders and basically only DCL as a striker as Rondon looked absolutely finished last season. Wouldn’t probably be a bad idea to sell Gordon even though he’s their best winger to get money for a striker.

Had no idea Pardew had an account here.
  20. Roma were impressive, rock solid defensively and Zaniolo looked sharp. Interesting squad if the oldies still have something left in the tanks.

Was earlier last season and they finished strong but they always seem to have that terrible spell at some point. 15-20 goal striker could really transform them. They have the money now so really no excuse to not sign one.
  22. *We're Only fair to correct both Yelevats and you.
  23. Abraham, Dybala, Zaniolo and Pellegrini all start.
  24. Yeah, there was at least a five minute break after the Spurs’ goal. We have it because it has always been like that and people hate change.
