He'll be devastating this season if he finishes like that regularly.

Messi 100% carried that team all the way. Obviously they had other good performers too but a real chance they don’t even get out of their group without Messi. Think he deserves the one last Ballon d’or just for his performances in that tournament, he was amazing.

That’s alright I guess, would’ve started Lascelles in place of Krafth as we still have Burn as a backup CB for the upcoming games. Hope we can keep it close and unleash some of the bigger names after an hour.

Covid offered a great opportunity to gather data about this and home teams did significantly worse with empty stadiums compared to the norm. https://www.leeds.ac.uk/news-coronavirus/news/article/4894/how-empty-stadiums-affected-football-during-pandemic

We signed Gordon from Everton and he was nowhere near ready to play for us.
-
It’s also way more complicated. Can’t just look at the accounts and say ”you’ve spent too much” like in Everton’s case.
-
Just missed you, was there like 30 minutes ago.

Man United are not good. They have injuries at the back but still their biggest problem is creating chances. Hope their luck runs out at some point, it’s been long enough already.

I don’t think there’s much wrong with Italian football. PL has more money but Serie A is really competitive.

Italians just seem more efficient. Toney ban took a while and Paqueta’s case probably involves Brazilian authorities too so will take even more time. What Paqueta did is way worse than Tonali or Toney, think he’s looking at something like two years minimum ban if the allegations are true.
-
I was stunned by all the people leaving at 35-40 minutes considering there was going to be a hefty added time too. Glad they missed two goals tbh. Tonali warming up for the first time was great, everyone stood up even in the Platinum Club and was one of the noisiest moments of the afternoon.

Where is everyone heading for the post-match pre-dinner pints? @LFEE @Yorkie

Signed here August 20th. What agenda? You think the Italian authorities read N-O before the prosecution and Harry is here to make sure it's as harsh as possible?

That’s fucking terrible and absolutely brain dead. The Quran burnings were done by an Iraqi Christian refugee IIRC, incredibly sad that now two innocent football fans have been killed due to one man’s stupid provocations.

It was a sad day for a poker players around the Europe when Italian players (France and Spain too) disappeared around 2010 and were only allowed to play against each other on their own sites. As for why they've been using illegal/unlicensed sites, I don't know the details about Italy's system but in Finland the government is trying to restrict deposits to foreign sites (thankfully so far pretty half-arsedly) and have put on a loss limit of -15k per year on the only "legal" government-owned bookie. IIRC Germany has some weird system where every win is heavily taxed and you can't book your losses to counter them. Some countries have banned bonuses and rakeback which makes winning from anything really hard. Young footballers are probably hitting the limits very quickly if they indeed exist in Italy.

If all he’s done is casino games there’s absolutely no way he gets a football ban. Bit concerned about the reports that Zaniolo had also made some football bets but hope Sandro didn’t do those.

Yeah, times were pretty much perfect. Arrive at Friday morning to Edinburgh so have all day just to get down to Newcastle and possibly spend some time at Edinburgh too. Flight back is 6pm on Thursday so once again tons of time to get there after checking out from the hotel. Straight flight back too and 2h30min feels ridiculously quick.

Just booked flights and hotel. Helsinki-Amsterdam-Newcastle was like €900 so had to book flights to Edinburgh. Stupidly excited and the unexpected ticket for Dortmund from a ballot was a real dream come true moment. Hope it goes better than my last trip to matches a decade ago when we were knocked out of Europa League by Benfica followed by the horse punching loss against the mackems.

Better links to the Italian underworld. Always had doubts about Ashworth and now they have been proven true.

Tbf Bournemouth were last in expected points last season, don't mind them moving on from O'Neil despite staying up.
-
Think he's just getting better and better. Had some iffy moments defensively last season but rock solid this season.

Joelinton was a big miss against these big cloggers, would've been great if we had the option to even bring him on for the last 20 minutes.

It's pretty clear that we'll be having a lot of big occasion games in the future and questioning Howe like that very much implies Howe isn't good enough for us and has to be replaced.
