  1. I agree, but we would need to have a replacement deal done first or their price would shoot up for the same reasons. What is the deal with Tevez? Do West Ham own him outright now and if so how much did they pay for him?
  2. Hammers have been fined a massive £5.5 million for the dodgy Argie deals but no points deducted. I am guessing there will be some sort of appeal, which IMO may be a risk as it could be changed to a points deduction. Depends if they think they have any chance of staying up I suppose.
  3. Or, on a more pessimistic note, maybe he is setting things up for a transfer request next January, when our season hasn't lived up to his expectations?
  4. Crazy idea, but how about a european cup competition for all the fa cup winners. They could call it something like, I don't know, maybe the Cup Winners Cup???
  5. Is it not right that the 'big four' have a virtual monopoly on the FA cup over the last decade or so anyway? And this is even when they supposedly dont take it seriously.

  7. He is lacking an experienced head alongside himto help him take his game on to the next level, because of course we have no need for any new players over 25!
  8. I dont have sky at home so I am making the most of the hotel here which has the Chelsea game on, room service, carryout and wireless access - looking foward to tonight!
  9. Surely the home sides advantage of being at home for the extra time is cancelled out by the fact the away side have the extra 30 minutes to score an away goal.
  10. Whilst i agree the tie is still in the balance I can't believe how negative most of you are being, maybe we are just too used to messing things up! They seem a very similar team to us, in that they are much stronger in attack then defence. And in particular their fullbacks seem very weak, we need to get at them as often as possible and with this in mind I think Sib has to play the second leg to make the most of any crosses we get in. I'd like to see Milner running at them, but unless he comes in for Duff I wouldnt change much. Imagine we had lost the first leg away to them 4-2, would you all be confident that we would win the home leg 2-0? I can't see them keeping a clean sheet.
  11. If we are talking all relegated clubs then I would take David Healey from Leeds as a backup foward. Checkout his hatrick against Spain, it was pure quality.
  12. I can see why Roeder is against replays though, we had about three against Watford before his own goal knocked us out!
  13. So the only one left still plays in England?
  14. Did Klinsmann ever play in Spain?
  15. This is not the time or the plaice for such humour.
  16. I had thought he was a tall skinny player, a bit like Zat Knight, but looking at that video of him he is a monster, who also seems to have a decent touch, not to mention one hell of a throw in! If the fee is as little as £2m or less then a loan doesnt make much sense.
  17. If Kanu and Yakubu are also 'looking foward to playing' then it would make more sense to allow him to go, but ask for him just to play a half, rather than falling out with him or the Nigerian FA.
  18. Could probably get him for just the £9M > Yeah, but we don't think he's worth that so we are bring it down a bir by adding in Bramble
  19. Have you thought about Middlesbrough? ;D Best post since the forum came back online IMO.
  20. Its a long time since i have seen Rennie, but I couldn't get over the size of him. He has always been a tosser but he was always at least fit, I take it he has giving up the martial arts, fair play to him for keeping up with play, he must be carrying at least an extra 4 stone!

I take it you mean Darren Peacock, although I remember in the days before names on the shirt, Gavin Peacock started the first game of the season at RightBack, sporting a full bushy beard, I had no idea who it was.
  22. Not sure, perhaps he needs his own thread, maybe even a poll to decide once and for all!
  23. What is it with the white letters? It can't be a UEFA rule as Vigo had black letters last night. It just somes up our club that someone thinks its ok to authorise white letters onto white stripes time and again in europe, Luque basically looks like just Q.
  24. His agent was on Talk Sport today saying he will get a new job in January, but not in England.
