If you ignore Everton's 6 points then I guess we will yes

Whisper it, but could it be that Berbatov was a one season wonder?
-
When was the last time (if ever) that we knocked Sunderland off top spot in the top division?

Couldn't resist a dig a N'Zogbia either could he. "And the £10m man from Inter Milan has been linked with a move away from St James’ all summer, with United ready to listen to offers. Martins could have gone one of two ways. He could have sulked, like N’Zogbia did for much of last season, or he could roll up his sleeves and play out of his skin."

Talksport have just reported that Carlisle have sacked Neil MacDonald followin their 1-1 draw with Walsall. He was a name tipped in preseason to join our backroom staff wasn't he? One of Sam's former coaches?

Brummie, Who played full backs for you on Saturday then? Any talk of you signing anyone else before you play us? -

Apparently Craig Gordon is spending a couple of days training with the Mackems followed by the same at Villa. What's the talk on Villa forums Brummie? I would imagine you must be quite confident he will choose you. -
Latapy will be 40 this season and he ran the show. Says it all about the SPL.
-
Glad thats cleared up then.

Anyone got any idea how you pronounce this guys name? The Uefa link has a funny accent under the second c, does that make it an s sound? ie casapa?

TalkSport's Alan Brazil just quoted on my way in that West Ham are talking about £7m for Dyer and £17m!!!! for Gudjonnsen. If they carry on like this they could well be another Leeds. I would love to see them start the season on negative points. Also just mentioned that Arsenal's new signing, Da Silva, has been refused a work permit and his contract may be cancelled. Could this lead to more links of Martins going there? -
Sounds like you have a dim mate there. There is a good chance that if we win anything in the next 5 years or so he will have to pay you. You definitely don't have to pay him anything for the full 30 years, and even if we don't win anything in that time, whats the chances of you still knowing him, or even either of you remembering/caring about the bet.

Seems strange that Rozenhal gets the number 4 while the 6 is left vacant. Maybe squad numbers dont mean too much anymore but if Taylor is to be captain and the 6 is saved for a new CB then if I was him I would be expecting to start on the bench.

Ive been listening to 5 Live for half an hour now and still not heard Lampard mentioned. 1-0 Cole
-
If, and it is a big if, Anelka goes to Man Utd then I would make a bid for Smith. It will be interesting to see how he plays with Owen for England.
-
Has anyone got even a half decent explanation as to why Phil Neville would play in an England B team?
-
Just imagine the sob stories if they'd let them all in.
-
Liverpool in Red I believe. I heard that Milan were giving the choice and chose to play in white.
-
To those who are wanting Martins sold, are you expecting Owen to stay? And if so, what happens next summer if he refuses to sign a new contract with only 1 year left. We currently have a huge amount of players to bring in just to get back to having a threadbare squad like we had last season. Until that is done I would be very against selling any first team or even regular squad players.
