It was obvious to everyone that these 5 were not good enough, but our squad, and i particular our defence is now ridiculously thin and it is going to put any clubs selling us defenders in a very strong bargaining position. Basically the current defence at the club now consists of Carr, Babayaro and kids who have came through the academy, or am I forgetting anyone?

Can anyone clarify just what it was West Ham did wrong to get their 5.5 million fine and more importantly, what they did to rectify it. Whenever they were fined I remember them having until noon on the saturday to sort it out, which apparently they did seeing as Tevez has played a major role (understatement!) since then. So do they now own him, and if he's sold elsewhere will they get profits? And if they still dont own him, as i suspect, and he has now played his last game for them, then how was he allowed to carry on playing after the fine? I know this may be going over old ground to some, but can anyone answer my questions?

I would imagine there will be plenty of 'injuries' in the second half of Sheff Utd v Wigan to ensure they hear the final result from Old Trafford before they finish.

How much would the FA be looking to get in 'rent' for a club playing games at Wembley? I would be disappointed if it was less than say £500,000, giving them around 25million a season to help with the repayments. EDIT: I have just been doing some rough calculations on gate money and i can't believe how much you make with say a 50,000 crowd paying £35 a head = 1.75million! If I was the FA I would be looking over a million pound a game rent in that case.

How can it be fair for any business, not just football clubs, to be able to go into administration, wipe out most of their debt leaving creditors with nothing, and then immediately the same owners buy it back again?

If we are prepared to let him spend all of next season on loan at PSV then why wasnt he allowed to go in January. He could have been there and now be sold to them whilst having a further year left on his contract. Its not as if we used him since January and just how much is he going to worth next summer? When does his contract run till?

I agree, but we would need to have a replacement deal done first or their price would shoot up for the same reasons. What is the deal with Tevez? Do West Ham own him outright now and if so how much did they pay for him?

Hammers have been fined a massive £5.5 million for the dodgy Argie deals but no points deducted. I am guessing there will be some sort of appeal, which IMO may be a risk as it could be changed to a points deduction. Depends if they think they have any chance of staying up I suppose.

Or, on a more pessimistic note, maybe he is setting things up for a transfer request next January, when our season hasn't lived up to his expectations?
