The one in june is a different case. That's his trial for the attack on dabo. I realise it's hard to keep up with them all like.

I agree Johnny. Don't rate Bridge at all, not anymore, think he's gone alarmingly backwards. His performances against Croatia and in the Carling Cup final were absolutely laughable. Personally I don't think there's many better left backs in the league than Enrique, from what we've seen so far anyway.
-
Liverpool fans have been saying he's a woeful left back for years. Doesn't even have the odd rocket shot to make up for it anymore either.
-
My don't they post quick. I thought they'd still be at the game getting in off last year's ticket.
-
From a professional footballer, that is absolutely woeful. If he could even swing with his right foot, it'd have been a simple clearance but he's so inept with it that a better option is to try and head it over the bar from six yards. Fucking rubbish.

 Another great European night at Anfield!

Would be decent cover at LB and CB though. Hoyed his toys about Joey Barton anyway.
-
I wouldn't mind signing O'Shea me. Tin hat on.

Got no time for either of them. Really hope Barca win it but I'm not sure they'll have enough to grind a result, had a bit of a rough season by all accounts, in which case I find myself wanting Man Utd to win it... never thought I'd say that.

While I think on (this CL game is predictably tedious), I think one reason many people, like myself, are worried about putting Enrique's nose out of joint (seeing as it's been commented on) and would be very disappointed to see him pushed out undeservedly is that we're typically a graveyard for talent from abroad. Players from places like Spain will have seen Marcelino, Luque, Viana et al come here, hardly play and be an absolute disaster and that will come into their thinking when they get the chance to come here. People talk about the manager being a selling point but I think when players have seen their countrymen come here, do well and enjoy their life and their football, that will influence them much more. Liverpool could sign any player in Spain over another British club because of how their players have done there, same with Arsenal and France, even putting aside how good those sides are. I'm not saying that for the sake of it we should play foreigners if they're not good enough - that's ridiculous. But Enrique is more than good enough imo - instead of nitpicking, let's see him do well and let Europeans see that this is not just a club that will nigh on end their career.

Not sure why everyone thinks KK will want a possibly inferior defender if they're a better attacker. Smacks of being unfair to the great man for me. He's already shown that he's not stuck in one mindset and he'll know that the widemen on show in the Premership now are different class to most of the ones on show first time round. I don't think Enrique is inadequate going forward anyway. He can improve of course but who can't?
-
Got the captaincy taken off him after his performance against Cardiff.

Dave's already responded for me. I didn't hate Michael Owen at all, never have, just didn't think we should have spent so much on him in the situation we were in. I stand by it as well, it's taken three years, three managerial changes and a takeover to even begin reaping any rewards.

The useless gonk should keep his mouth shut. I've still got the pictures of him with (I'll name him) Rich's bird.

Thought moderate Christians didn't try to force their views on others. Get fucked. Having said that, if they're prepared to offer more drinking time then I wholeheartedly agree.
-
We shouldn't be looking to replace or better Enrique. What would be the point? I like the way Fergie operates - basically has one left back and one right back but has about five centre backs, two main ones and then three or four others who can cover full back (Brown, Silvestre, Heinze, O'Shea). Talk of Riise makes me feel queasy, he's absolute shite. I suspect it's bollocks paper talk though.
-
He's been one-on-one in our last two games before yesterday and stuck them away taking the piss in the process. Strikers don't score every chance ffs. Wayne Rooney for example is very poor in that position, misses many more than he scores, obviously Martins' all-round play isn't as good as Rooney's but he still scares the life out of defenders.

many in the media seem to think Beye is crap too, after the Reading match one of the pundits on SSN said newcastle played so well that "Even Habib Beye is starting to look like a bit of a player". Aye, someone in the pub mentioned that yesterday. How do these people get work?
-
Taylor's been peddling the "Enrique is shit" line all season like many hacks who write their report based on what they expect and what they want rather than what they see. It's worse from her because she has an extra axe to grind, especially after her brave boys were humiliated again yesterday.

Glad you enjoyed it mate, first game? They just had some bloke on the North East news, sounded South African, said he'd come over for his first game in 32 years. Quality.

The cross was sublime (lot for Owen to do obviously, brilliant header) and Geremi pinged a brilliant key pass to Oba as well. Pinpoint over about 70 yards, the one that Oba brought down before playing the one-two with Owen. Geremi's far from perfect but his assists have contributed greatly to our resurgence so he's doing something right. One thing I like about him is that he never ever hides, he wants the ball as much as anyone on the field which is why he seems to do so much poorly and also does a lot well, because he has the ball very often. Barton, Butt and Geremi all give the ball away more often than they should and at least two of them have legs which are well past their best yet we've dominated the midfield in every game since the second half at St Andrew's, which is credit to those three as well as the players helping out (Owen, the full backs and the other strikers) and it also shows just how good we could be with midfielders who can keep the ball better, have better end product and more stamina. Not sure how we got from N'Zogbia to Geremi but nevertheless...
-
I was pissing myself when Reid tripped Viduka in the second half, they both went down, got up and then jogged towards the penalty area, fucking hell, it was like It's A Knockout.
-
I didn't think Martins should have been brought off, we missed him a canny bit in the later stages imo when they were pushed up. Who cares though really? We won.

The majority just daft D&D, drunk in sports ground and disorderly conduct (swearing basically). Storm in a teacup.
