There's a possibility Kenwyne Jones could boss him about, though if we make sure Faye sticks to him then he should be able to handle him. As you say though, they're shit but if we give them possession and go 'backs to the wall' like we've done away from home so far, anything's possible. It's a sad state of affairs when we're worrying about two Championship no-marks up front, but if we keep giving them the ball and defending, we will have to worry about them. I'd rather McShane or Nosworthy or whoever the hell else he's found from Ireland/the Championship were worrying about Viduka/Martins/Owen than us bricking it about Michael bastard Chopra.

Hartlepool are perfectly happy with their manager without him coming in blind, thanks very much.

Getting beat at home in the derby in his first game. Not the best start.
-
God I hope he picks himself up from this quick.

isn't viduka inviting the long ball? If he is then the manager is at fault. With the ball at his feet, Viduka is the most talented member of our squad by an absolute mile. He's not the one saying "lump it lads!".
-
So you'd play Smith and play neither of Milner or Charlie? Are you having a laugh or what? Smith is garbage and the way he's fucking the wingers about is pure stupidity.
-
Absolutely woeful today. God help us if Viduka is not fit next weekend.

I do as well.

The Partizan home game was the last one I missed at home, so probably the Chelsea semi. I fucking hate Gus Poyet.

The players want a break, well there's a fucking surprise. The trouble with a winter break in this country is that the weather is notoriously changeable through January and February. If you shoehorn more games into February then even a handful get called off, you run the risk of a huge fixture pile up (especially if you're playing Middlesbrough, who will call games off up to three weeks beforehand in case you're coming from a far-away land like Newcastle). And there's no way they're taking Christmas football away from us in case they thought twice about that one. Managers are constantly moaning about fixture pile-ups anyway, that PFA bloke's been whinging today about Steven Gerrard having to play 6 games in 18 days, so how is taking two weeks out and putting those games in elsewhere supposed to help? I believe a few European leagues would actually like to abolish it, I know Beckenbauer wants it gone from Germany. One of the reasons we keep getting so many teams to the late stages of European competition is because we play through and can keep going and maintain form, while it can take European sides a while to get themselves going again after the break. I don't remember clubs whining about fatigue when three of them were in the Champions League semi final last season. It's just another excuse for the failure of the England team, a short sighted way to avoid the major issue of British coaching at grassroots level. We're probably not even going to qualify for the next tournament and that's got jack shit to do with not having a winter break. The players should shut the fuck up and get on with it. If they're not happy with their job and their million pound minimum salary, they can go and get a bar job.

It is, I like the uniqueness of it. I've never once thought it doesn't look like it should while it's looked like that.

Aye, it's strange he never posted it on here. At least I think he didn't, having had a quick check of his posts. The post from marko mentions him copying and pasting it from here so he probably did, probably among that load of posts we deleted ages ago... how ironic.

That's our Tom_NUFC made that thread.

Dunno what they're doing with that building specifically but they're redeveloping that whole Pilgrim St area soon, it fucking needs it as well, it's a shithole down there. The fire station is closed now in preparation.

Leave me alone, I'm only a young'un.

Never seen that Keefaz, that's unbelievable.

Relocation of Leazes Terrace? Or of the whole club? I suspect (hope) you mean the latter. The latter. Ah, I retract my earlier comment in that case. Personally I don't see the problem, we are not desperate for a new stadium nor are we likely to be in the foreseeable future. The fact that we play in virtually the city centre makes us special as a club. I would abhor having to play our games in a identikit stadium on an Industrial Estate in the middle of nowhere. And I don't care if it could seat 80,000 or whatever. Let's get things right on the pitch anyway before we start thinking about increasing capacity. Liverpool and Arsenal are doing/have done it, fair enough, but they're both established big guns who you can't see dropping out of that bracket in the near future. We're still a yo-yo club at the moment. If we finish 14th again and have 20,000 empty seats, we'll just look stupid.

If you're slightly detached from reality perhaps.

The Government don't own those buildings, so it's got nowt to do with them. What do you propose they should be housing? We've not sold out SJP once this season btw.
