Because Spurs are also at home and they play at 3 on the Sunday. What would have made more sense would be to move us to the Saturday, but that's never going to happen. I've never understood why non-televised fixtures are moved at all though, other than "days between games" issues, perhaps someone can shed some light on this?

His mam was sat on the border when she had him.

Those cases are significantly different to the three players who scored for England.

Free kick was definitely 3-2 and Lee's assist was the winner. I've got a vision of Shearer putting it across Keller and into the far corner off the post for the other one, which could be bollocks though. EDIT: http://www.nufc.com/old-match-reports/96-97/leicesth.htm Definitely the one I was thinking of.

Faye needs £30k a week man, you can't expect him to live on the shitty pensions they're giving out these days.

They're all English to all extents and purposes anyway. Depends on your definition like, but they're hardly Tony Cascarino.

I was going to say the same thing. Mine however, would have been a joke. I can't believe someone's actually said it.

Sounds like Dean Marney. Plays for Hull apparently.

Looks genuine to me.

Yep. we're both wrong, teletext has quotes about it being about the wigan players harassing the ref on 2 occasions. Really? Odd, I didn't think they'd done any harrassing of note.

We won on my second away trip, at Middlesbrough 3-1, when I was 15. My one before that was also at the Boro, a 2-2 draw. Since I started going regularly, not that I do much nowadays, I think I've only seen us win twice - at Fulham 3-2 after being 2-0 down and at Grimsby in the Carling Cup.

Whats BYOB stand for? bring your own bottle. Its a System Of A Down track. Armenian-American rock rocks! 'Bring Your Own Bomb' I believe it actually stands for in that track title. No Mido jokes please.

What an utter clown.

when did that happen ? When Damien Duff arrived.
-
What about "drop him when he plays well"?
-
N'Zogbia didn't play well last year, nobody can deny that, but he barely played. He was on the bench for the first game against Wigan while Carr, Babayaro, Moore and Bramble started. That was an absolutely abhorrent way to treat him. Duff was woeful, N'Zogbia came on, played well, set the winner up.. and was on the bench again. It's no wonder from then on that he knew his time was up under that man, no matter what.

Newcastle in that if I could choose to have, say, Owen fit for Newcastle or fit for England, it would be NUFC everytime - but then England have got dozens on strikers to choose from while Newcastle don't, so it's an unfair comparison. I still love England and want them to win every game though.

You must be gutted about this news are you?

Fantastic news.

That Michael Shields song is hilarious. The one about Liverpool's midfield is good too though. Our songs have been shit for a long time. Disappointing.

Not so far we wouldnt. Ever since the season started properly his set peices have been appalling Good corner for Taylor to hit the bar on Saturday. Anyway, it's typical Newcastle fans to pick on a player straight away like this (not saying you have Shak, but some people on here definitely have). He's not Roy Keane, nor is he Matty Pattison, he's in between and he's a good player. Maybe if he hadn't played so well in pre-season he wouldn't be getting this, but I'm sure from a couple of games in the summer some people thought they were getting Platini.

Bruce - I had the chance to manage them but felt loyalty to the people I work for here at Birmingham. This article seems to suggest that Steve Bruce had the opportunity to manage NUFC. Odd that no-one in power at NUFC put him right since he was lying according to NE5. One interesting point is that for so long NE5 has said that one of the primary aims of a good board was to sign England internationals - well we signed two in the space of six weeks this summer. Roeder never signed any and Souness only signed two in his time here, even Robson only signed three in five years, one of whom never played for England again (Bowyer), one has six caps in eight years (Woodgate) and another hardly played for England again after joining us because of his age (Butt). Surely Ashley is doing a bloody good job in this respect?
