Having been the best team in the country during the 95-96 season and come away with nowt, I couldn't give a fuck how we play if we win. As Newcastle fans who experienced that heartbreak, I can't believe anyone would choose that again over dour, effective football - not that I'm saying we'll play that, just making a point.

There's some weird rivalries about that you wouldn't expect. Not so long back I was talking to a Chelsea fan (it was some bloke off Big Brother actually, but I digress) and he said that Boro are still one of Chelsea's most hated rivals (among the faithful obviously) after Boro were the ones to relegate them in the late 80s. In the Mag end of season review of 1992 (I think), Newcastle fans voted Cambridge United our most hated rivals other than the mackems. Sign of how far we've come really.

if its too much of a risk playing him in a match then, christ why'd we buy him?.. hes a footballer not a child and not giving him any games, especially for a hot young prospect, will seriously diminish his confidence.
