That'd be extremely one paced and leave Vids very isolated. Hope we don't play that. We don't actually have that much pace in the side at the moment, N'Zogbia and Martins are really the only two we can rely on for pace, discounting Owen and Dyer for obvious reasons.

Perhaps, although Solano has yet to appear at RB under Allardyce while Carr has appeared there for every game. If Sam had real plans to play Nobby there in the near future he'd surely have given him some time there in pre-season. Solano's played there a couple of times I think, not started though. He definitely played a half at Hartlepool at RB.

I thought it would have made more sense to swap the pair over, but Sam clearly fancies Milner on the left and presumably Martins was there so he could cut in on his left foot and shoot, something he never got a chance to do. It's amazing how papers don't pick this sort of thing up.
