Your sarcastic post shows how clueless you are tbh. Van nistelroory though a very good goalscorer was also a limited player. Take for instance Filippo Inzaghi, the guy has managed to score so many goals on a constant bases despite being a very limited striker (i suppose someones going to try and argue that now). How was Shearer a limited player when he scored every type of goal? You call me clueless and you think Dimitar Berbatov can be mentioned in the same sentence as Shearer and Beardsley? If the shoe was on the other foot and one of our lot was on Glory Glory comparing Lee to Hoddle, I'd be embarrassed. I'd hope other Spurs fans would be, however knowing them, I suspect not. Tbh im 90% sure that most neutral fans would agree that Berbatov possess more to his game then Shearer in his prime yet Shearer is clearly the better goalscorer. Let me as you something then Wullie, Did shearer ever in his career have the touch and technique of berbatov?, did Shearer ever have the creativity of Berbatov? Comparing this debate to rob lee and Glenn Hoddle more or less proves how delusional you are. Does Berbatov have the shooting power and accuracy from distance of Shearer? Does Berbatov have the finishing ability of Shearer? Does Berbatov have the heading abilty of Shearer? Does Berbatov have the pace of Shearer? Does Berbatov have the crossing ability of Shearer? Does Berbatov have the positional sense of Shearer? Does Berbatov have the movement of Shearer? Does Berbatov have the incredible strength of Shearer? We could play this game all night sunshine. Berbatov does some things better than Shearer and Shearer does a hell of a lot more better than Berbatov. Lee vs Hoddle is a fine comparison - Robert Lee was a top class Premiership midfielder and the second best midfielder in this country for a good few years in the 90s, while Hoddle was genuine world class. Berbatov is a top class striker, but Shearer was world class. Btw, I just said to my Boro supporting best mate "we've got a Yid on our board reckons Berbatov was better than Shearer", his reply was "I'm biased but errr no I don't think so ".

So which other "limited but somehow happens to be the complete goal machine" strikers is Berbatov better than then after one season and eleven goals in the Premiership? Gerd Muller perhaps? Jimmy Greaves? Marco van Basten? Romario? Go a bit further back and he's miles better than Di Stefano and Puskas, they only scored 1000 goals between them, but how many assists did they get? You're a fruitcake, lad.

Nice story. I can also tell you that countless conversations i had with my mates about how limited shearer was as a player. Very good goalscorer, very good headerer of the ball and good hold up play. Shearer in his prime? Those mates are clearly just as stupid as you then. I love that you've tried to brush under the carpet the fact that you said Berbatov is more skilful, has more vision etc, than Peter Beardsley. Why don't you respond to the points put to you about him? Answer is because, if you've ever seen Pedro in his prime, you know it's a no-contest. hmmm i did actually and tbh i clearly remember saying that Beardsley was far more debateable then then the rest of them . In fact, when someone (think it was that sad loser Baggio) mentioned Beardsley, i was the first to say that. Beardsley and Berbatov are very similiar in style and i honestly dont know which one possess more attributes. Beardsley >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shearer Suggest you search Peter Beardsley on youtube, then come back and you will know which one possesses more attributes. Since you're effectively judging players on skill in terms of fancy stuff, a youtube video will show you more moments of Pedro's genius than Berbatov's probably managed in his entire career - and I rate Berbatov. Pedro's on another level.

I'm surprised you managed to keep your tongue off the window long enough to hold a conversation with anyone tbh.

Now, now. Play nicely Vic-head.

Don't forget to say how happy you are with signing Leighton Baines last week.

http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/Messageboard.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=17170 Fulham fans seem split, about 60-40 in favour of getting rid I reckon, there's a couple of other threads on him too. Seems to have gone downhill quite a bit since being at Boro. Not good enough for where we hope to be under Ashley.
-
I'd be happy with Bridge and Queudrue, but Queudrue and Babayaro, I'd be very pissed off, especially if Geremi is on the other side.
-
It can't be, he hasn't told us he lives in Reykjavik.

Good shout. His email address is indeed registered to an Icelandic newspaper. I hope Bluf has blown his top on the mods only board about invasions of privacy and you lot being worse than the govt. How is me confirming he works for an Icelandic newspaper invasion of privacy, bearing in mind his second post was "I work in the Icelandic media"?
-
He's probably not likely to say "we talk shite" tbh.
-
I would agree with that. It is an excellent site. Thanks.

Alex Rae. Both hailarious and legendry. That sounds fucking mint. Is there video footage anywhere?
-
Well quite. If it's the Icelandic Mirror, might as well lock the thread now.
-
Can't find anything that suggests it's actually peasepud, so that's a start.

Just to confirm, he is definitely from Iceland.

Alan Shearer. And vastly more, as well. Only Asprilla wasn't a better player, arguably Ferdinand as well I suppose. mackems.gif mackems.gif shearer?? so Shearer has the vision and creativity of Berbatov? NO So shearer has the passing ability of Berbatov? NO So Shearer has the touch and Control of Berbatov? NO So Shearer has the link-up play of Berbatov? NO Beardsley may be closer to the truth, though i still feel Berbatov is the overall better player. Sorry, are you on smack? I genuinely can't believe what I'm reading. Tbh your the one on smack if you honestly think Shearer possess those attribvutes i have listed as good or better then Berbatov. I think Guilit summed up shearer best tbh. What next? Berbatov is a better finisher than Schmeichel and therefore a much better player? They're different types of players, you cretin, and Shearer was miles better at what he did than Berbatov is at what he does, good player though he is. And for the record, if we're talking vision, passing, creativity, touch, control and ability to beat a man, Peter Beardsley could do things that Berbatov can only dream of.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/middlesbrough/6229860.stm Feel free to add further praise of Steve Gibson, his top managerial appointment, and their running of the club below: Didn't they just finish above us in the Premiership?
