  1. Well quite. If it's the Icelandic Mirror, might as well lock the thread now.
  2. Can't find anything that suggests it's actually peasepud, so that's a start.
  3. Good shout. His email address is indeed registered to an Icelandic newspaper.
  4. Just to confirm, he is definitely from Iceland.
  5. Alan Shearer. And vastly more, as well. Only Asprilla wasn't a better player, arguably Ferdinand as well I suppose. mackems.gif mackems.gif shearer?? so Shearer has the vision and creativity of Berbatov? NO So shearer has the passing ability of Berbatov? NO So Shearer has the touch and Control of Berbatov? NO So Shearer has the link-up play of Berbatov? NO Beardsley may be closer to the truth, though i still feel Berbatov is the overall better player. Sorry, are you on smack? I genuinely can't believe what I'm reading. Tbh your the one on smack if you honestly think Shearer possess those attribvutes i have listed as good or better then Berbatov. I think Guilit summed up shearer best tbh. What next? Berbatov is a better finisher than Schmeichel and therefore a much better player? They're different types of players, you cretin, and Shearer was miles better at what he did than Berbatov is at what he does, good player though he is. And for the record, if we're talking vision, passing, creativity, touch, control and ability to beat a man, Peter Beardsley could do things that Berbatov can only dream of.

  7. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/middlesbrough/6229860.stm Feel free to add further praise of Steve Gibson, his top managerial appointment, and their running of the club below: Didn't they just finish above us in the Premiership?
  8. Wonder if their fans are still moaning about the Glazer's taking over... So next season, if this happens obviously, Ferguson is going to have to pick a front six together from Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Nani, Anderson, Saha, Giggs, Scholes, Hargreaves and Carrick? Begs the question of where Darren Fletcher's going to play really.
  9. There's a middle aged tranvestite called Laurence who goes to every Hartlepool game in a dress and high heels. Sits in the away end and cheers them on now though since the Hartlepool stewards threw him out, at least he was last time I was there.
  10. Might there be a Monday night game too? We beat West Ham 4-0 on the first Monday night a few years back but I don't know if they still do that.

    Roeder v Fat Sam

Reckon he means the nil goals we scored at home since February? He's talking about 05-06, which is why he refers to the one just gone as 'this season'.
  12. If the season started tomorrow, it'd be: Given, Geremi, Rozehnal, Taylor, Babayaro, Milner, Emre, Barton, N'Zogbia, Owen, Viduka with a bench of Harper, Edgar, Solano, Dyer, Martins. Or maybe Butt somewhere on the bench. Thankfully it doesn't start tomorrow anyway, plenty time to get some more players in yet.
  13. I'd love to sign Bridge. It'll put Leighton Baines' nose out of joint when he signs last week though.
  14. Not according to Rovers.
  15. The day you disprespect Milner, is the day you meet your untimely demise Laughing at the fact he contradicted himself there. How did I contradict myself exactly?
  16. Don't get the people who say he can't beat his man. The Milner I see beats his man nearly every week. When we played Chelsea, Ferreira was a nervous wreck by half time. People are still judging him largely on the Milner of three years ago imo. He's improved tenfold and still gets flack.
  17. Bet there's no-one in the Premiership with no more assists directly from crosses than James Milner. If there are, it won't be many.
  18. I'm not sure, we've already got a right winger being played out of position who can do a job there, I don't see why another should replace him. I'd like a specialist right back, not someone shoehorned in for 15 games at Chelsea when there was nobody else. Geremi'll get found out defensively over the course of a season imo.
  19. Well I welcomed Geremi as a good player to use at either right back or defensive midfield but I'm pretty sure you said he wouldn't be much use in either position. Where do you see him playing then? I wouldn't have him anywhere as a starter, good squad player though. He can play either of those positions up to a point, but I see him first and foremost as a right winger. Dyer can't cross to save his life, Solano's getting on and Milner might well suffer fatigue given the amount of games he's played, so he'll be useful cover there. cover for Milner? Are you serious? Well, he's primarily a right winger and has played most of his Premiership games there. Are you asking whether I'd start him ahead of Milner? Possibly, depends how Milner starts the season.
  20. West Ham I think. Scored an absolutely lush chip against Leeds for Middlesbrough from about 30 yards too, can't find a clip though.
