  1. Duff has been one of out best players in our last 2 games so for me obviously Zog is 2nd choice. As for him going I doubt it as Roeder won't let him go as he knows it will give him another position to fill. That's enough is it? That he can have two good games and be first choice? Dear me - especially if one of those games was Man City, where Duff was a fucking disgrace.
  2. Jesus has only just come back to life, you think he wants to be weeping on a day like this? Poor bugger.
  3. Don't think so, think it all just comes under the Bosman ruling. 6 months or less to go and they can speak to anyone. 6 weeks until contract expires for players in the same Country. I stand corrected.

  5. They blew 13 points in '98 to Arsenal.
  6. I've only seen MOTD but Martins looked immense. Most of the recent criticism has been justified, other than the OTT stuff from the media wankers up here, but he's quality. Milner getting two assists pisses me off somewhat - cheers Glenn, that's what you could have won in Alkmaar, you knobhead. Win or not, the N'Zogbia situation has me livid. He's gone in the summer.
  7. The ref' was shocking, Dixon kicked lumps out of Ginola yet Ginola got sent off for diving, a blind man would have seen the foul. Pretty sure Ginola got sent off for throwing the elbow at Dixon off the ball. I might be wrong but I thought he went down in the box and went for taking a dive, that's my memory of it. Looks like we're both right in a way: http://www.anr.uk.com/arseweb-files95season/nd110196.html Got booked for a dive that wasn't and got sent off for throwing the elbow.

    Football violence

Exactly the same story as last year when Boro went to Roma, three stabbed while the police did nothing.
  10. Bowyer's a good shout actually Cath. I warmed to him a little bit until the fight but I was absolutely gutted when we signed him, I despised him.
  11. There's a few who've redeemed themselves from my hatred, Butt in particular and Dyer somewhat. Probably plump for Hislop, Jenas and Duff, though Carr would be knocking on the door. I didn't really hate him or Jenas from the off tbf, but Hislop and Duff I never ever took to/have taken to. Nicking the spot of my favourite players didn't do either of them any favours, especially when they were shite in doing so.

    Todays games

Offside decision was correct tbh. Berbatov was offside and made a move to go to the ball, which was 2 yards away, before Defoe swept it in. This "active/inactive" thing has now, for many people, moved onto whether a player touches the ball or not, which is incorrect. Berbatov was active, if he'd made no move towards the ball then you could say he wasn't. He did and he was.
  13. No surprise but just confirmed, again, that the man is braindead. Sack the thick twat.

    Owen

    Owe-no! Nailed on.
  15. Absolute bollocks that article. That he's talking about Gooch is total supposition.

I don't mind Downing. Only quality English natural left winger in the country.

Downing on the left is a better bet than Dyer, in fairness. But he needed more time, clearly. Sorry, was referring to the situation in Alkmaar with Roeder. Downing and Dyer are both players who can make you a goal, but they got a total of 5 minutes between them.
  18. I have two teams, I've been going to Hartlepool since before I started going to Newcastle. NUFC will always take priority, but if I could afford it, I'd go to Pools whenever we weren't playing.
  19. are you pissed? thought it was only me on a sunday night Think he means the title of manager for Alan Shearer.
  20. Better players but against better players. Souness and McCarthy both did well in the Championship and got promoted, sunderland walked away with it under McCarthy. We can't afford to hire a manager based on fuck all.
