Very poor result and a very poor performance. Undone by a missed penalty (change things around Nobby man ffs) and an excellent goal but the second half performance was atrocious. Don't think we had a shot until Carroll came on.

From one angle, the defender who was supposed to have fouled Johnson wasn't even in the camera shot when he started his swan-dive. Gerrard's first was a total embarrassment, truly pathetic to see from such a good player, as bad a display of "gamesmanship" (cheating) as you're likely to see.

I'd LOVE you to explain what a Travelodge in Newcastle City Centre has to do with NUFC or how it shows "how far NUFC have slumped", especially if you can do it without admitting mismanagement at board level in the process. Still, have a go though. I could do with a laugh.
