I'm not sure if it would be that bad but I'm really struggling to think who we'd end up with. I'd probably stick with him until the last game of the season but don't really care either way, I think we'll be lucky to stay up whatever we do now. It'd be someone mates with the board in some way, that's if we got anyone at all. No manager of any repute would take on a club this close to relegation with only 3 games left, why on earth would they want that on their CV? He needs to be replaced in the summer, whether we stay up or not. I still don't think he will. Yeah, I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind would do it, unless they were quite desperate and thought getting 3 or 4 points with that squad was an easy enough task. Can't help thinking we'd end up getting someone like Mark Hughes or Alan Curbishley. No reason why we can't get someone much better than that in the summer though obviously. There's one massive reason, and that's why we have to roll the dice imo. We don't need a master tactician, just someone to lift the malaise and tell the players to play with a bit of positivity. It it doesn't work, we've lost nothing. If we keep Pardew for three more games, we'll lose everything.
  2. Finished bottom half in his first season with us. Managed to wank up a top ten finish in the space of twenty minutes by bringing Alan Smith on against West Brom.

Why would anyone ask Steve Wraith for his opinions on football ffs? Ask him about stuff he knows, like how to hold a hilarious funeral, or how scary he is cos he knew the Krays, or how to hoy a couple of pissed students out of Tiger Tiger. Ludicrous arsehole.
  4. Where's the "tackle" in the Arsenal midfield?

    And a better goal difference.
  6. Me too sadly. Rodgers really showed up Pardew's laughable assertions that you can only compete in the Premier League with a full strength team all of the time. Their best player was out and it didn't phase them one bit, that's without even mentioning the fact that Jamie fucking Carragher was playing.
  7. Problem is that Pardew won't set up offensively like that from the start of a game especially not now. But he just doesn't seem to understand that if you start like that then you push the other team back and give them something to worry about. That lineup yesterday was utterly staggering and he got exactly what he deserved for sending that team out. Lambs to the slaughter. Apart from at home last season (when we were on the crest of a wave), he's always done that against Liverpool. Insists on treating them like footballing gods, dread to think what he tells the players beforehand.
  8. Still the last time we came from behind to win away.
  9. Fuck Blanc, Nut, your priorities are all wrong. Get Ketsybaba (as my granddad used to call him)'s wife on Facebook and tell him to come to Newcastle airport, Ben Arfa will pick him up.
  10. No fucking way would I be going out to my seat to watch my team give a guard of honour to them and RVP if I was an Arsenal fan. I predict a mass rush from the concourses about ten seconds before kick off.

Sounds like when we played Man City. Couldn't believe the amount of people who said to me after that game "typical for us to catch them on a day when they play like that" - err no, that's what happens when you make a decision to let top class footballers do whatever the fuck they want.
  12. Even putting a caretaker in charge is at least doing something different - as it stands, the chance of getting another point is almost nil. The players clearly resent the manager and the most important thing we can do is kick him out ASAP.
  13. Odds of what, implosion? I'd say that had already happened tbh.

Managers tend to find their level after a few years. Look at someone like Aidy Boothroyd - promoted, touted round as the next big thing, eventually finds himself managing Northampton Town. Pardew was a classic example. Was average in the Championship, went up through the play offs, had a decent season (like many before him first time up) before plummeting - West Ham sacked him before they went down, then Charlton to try and bring them back up - at which point they realised he wasn't really up to the second tier either and eventually he winds up at Saints. Third tier, beginning to go down to where his natural talent lies. Has any Premier League club ever appointed a manager in these circumstances before? Bringing one in who had been in the top flight before tumbling down the divisions? Absolutely extraordinary and still boggles my mind to this day. I've never understood why anyone ever gave him the benefit of the doubt because long term, he'd already proved he was incapable of doing even a job in the Championship. A situation like this was always on the cards.
  15. Rubbish. It was a bit fickle, but at least the team used to fight on the pitch, the club used to at least try to go places, going all out in Europe, making the Champions League, going out at the start of a season with the intention of challenging for the title - half of that was only 10 years ago. We've just become a big ball of apathetic nonsense in the last few seasons. Ashley and his cronies have squeezed every last ounce of passion and excitement out of Newcastle United, and people just shrug their shoulders and say "ah well." The protests under Shepherd were embarrassing but at least we showed we fucking cared then. Remember Shepherd's car getting attacked at Wigan after a League Cup humbling to cries of "Souness Out"? What the hell happened to us?
  16. We had to beat sunderland, we had to beat West Brom, we could have done without conceding 6 today. Unfortunately the games (and the excuses) are running out. I can't see us picking up more than a point or 2 now, I think we're relying on Wigan not winning any/many more games. Or else we're gone. Still cannot believe we've managed to wipe out our sizeable goal difference advantage in one afternoon. We essentially lost a point today. Fucking disgusting state of affairs man.
  17. You've got to be impressed at Pardew's record of setting new records. Home defeats, away defeats, goals conceded, set pieces, you name it, he's fucked it up. Then to cap it all off, he has inflicted on us the worst home game any of us can remember then two weeks later he's even managed to trump that. Got to marvel at that level of staggering incompetence.

What he says may be waffle, it’s on the espn website and some morons will read it and take it as gospel. Pardew has had it far too easy and part of that is because of articles on the internet and in papers. The only reason he isn't having it easy on here is because some are highlighting the shit he does, the shit he comes out with and the contradictions. If we were all just reading the papers and watching TV we'd be brain washed into thinking nothing that is wrong with the club has anything to do with Pardew. If people want to write articles then they should expect to have what they write challenged. Tbh mate I agree with that to a degree but it shouldn't be so - people should be able to make their own mind up without taking too much in from the papers/Pardew. But how the fuck can I argue that about the general public when our own fans seem to all have been hoodwinked by the whole thing? It fucks me off. They should trust their own eyes. I realise I'm deviating from the point a bit but all I was getting at in the first place was that I didn't think people should be randomly having a pop at Nixon, which seemed to be more what it was about, otherwise people would be in here going mental about a Daily Star writer or whoever... and they don't. As I say, I'd rather not dwell on the point tbh because it's over and done with - if people keep on having a pop at Nixon in a way that seems mainly borne out of the fact it's Nixon then I'll have more to say I'm sure. Anyway, as I say, can't be arsed to get into it... OCK's fucked me over by deleting his post about Nixon tbh.

Pardew has had it far too easy and part of that is because of articles on the internet and in papers. The only reason he isn't having it easy on here is because some are highlighting the s*** he does, the s*** he comes out with and the contradictions. If we were all just reading the papers and watching TV we'd be brain washed into thinking nothing that is wrong with the club has anything to do with Pardew. If people want to write articles then they should expect to have what they write challenged. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for challenging the article. Just don't understand why Wullie of all people is leading the attack when Wullie was also stoutly defending Pardew's strategy after the Benfica game. Feel free to point to a post of mine after that game where I said we now had a team to be proud of for the first time since relegation. There's very little talk of tactics in that article so I'm not even sure what point you're making.
  20. Generally I hate the term "he can't be any worse than..." because it's usually clearly untrue and is used to justify wanting to put a 16 year old to replace a solid but unspectacular performer like Simpson. But we're certainly at that point now. What's worse than a 0-9 home aggregate against two mid table (at absolute best) sides? What's the worst that can happen? We lose three games? That's looking a dead cert anyway. Even if it's Beardsley or Carver, we've reached a point where we have to roll the dice imo.
  21. It seemed like the sort of performance where the players were expressing that they didn't want to play for the manager anymore. Hardly any effort whatsoever. They've been like that all season, this was just the most pathetic example. Something massive has changed since last season, everything that was good about that has gone and from being a really tight squad playing to the best of their abilities they now look like a bunch of mercenaries who couldn't give a shit and think that it doesn't matter what happens because they'll just piss off somewhere else if/when it all goes tits up. Too many of our players seem to believe their own hype and think that they'll be judged by their reputations rather than their performances and if they do go then I hope they're wrong because they don't deserve to be able to walk away from thins with their reputations unscathed. The players aren't suited to the manager's preferred style of play, it's not that hard to figure out. Tevez and Mascherano had to leave for Rafa's Liverpool when Pardew decided they weren't suited to his long ball West Ham team. What's your explanation for last season then? Last season's football clearly wasn't sustainable as a winning formula though was it? That was absolutely obvious. You can't get results consistently based on Krul pulling off wonder saves left, right and centre and Danny Simpson kicking it off the line at least once a game.

Any journalist who purports to be a Newcastle fan who is writing articles rimming Pardew and Ashley is a massive part of the problem. Since when did journalists become sacrosanct? What sets him apart from Ryder, just that he used to post on here? So fuck.
