Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)
Dan Gleebals replied to Ronson333's topic in Football
He has to replace Joelinton for me. He should be playing 80+ mins most games. -
Does his upturn in form, automatically means he starts? For me it is a firm no. Barnes has been clsss so keep the completion healthy. Hope Howe does not revert to form and select him all the time.
-
His price had nothing to do with him, our panic and need to get someone in. Not sure he owes us like - injuries are part of football. Either way, happy he is not going and hopefully he is up to speed quicker than the person he replaced!
-
Agree. However, this season we do not seem to have clear tactics or a way of playing. We seem to have deserted the high-press, quick transition approach - so new players like Ramsey and Elanga seem to be struggling, much like the rest of the team.
-
Howe does not always follow logic when it comes to Gordon > Barnes. As it stands, Barnes over Gordon all day long, but Howe (to his detriment sometimes) loves to get Gordon back in the mix, which I suspect he will do for the CL game.

I was with my mate at the Brighton game. He is the agent for one of our players. He thinks we might have a world class defender on our hands here, at a bargain fee. Early days but think he might just be right.

Newcastle United vs. Benfica: 21/10/25 @ 20:00 (TNT Sports)

I am looking forward to seeing it personally. Joelinton looks fucked and out of form. Tonali - ill and needs a break as well. Reckon we will have more about us with these 3. -
Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season

Woldernick is not a striker but looks very good in the role behind. I wonder if we keep Osula playing and Nick in behind for now. Osula looked more relaxed and composed last night, and that only come with game time. -
Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)
Dan Gleebals replied to Miggys First Goal's topic in Football
#freehugo (stupid c**** for starting the whole #freeisak shit, so why not). -
Not a great game to get a true sense of what they can achieve, but they both look calm AF, and I feel their distribution into the middle is quicker (and a bit more risky). But I like it.

I know it is only Everton, but pictures like that are not a good look, only a few weeks into your new home. Our own decisions on stadium capacity are going to be important, loads of empty seats is a shit look.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)
Dan Gleebals replied to joeyt's topic in Football
Impressive for England. So we effectively paid Forrest £5M for a pot of Greek yoghurt, and they got Andresson. That deal looks worse and worse every time you see it now. Still think he needed to play, and it was hard to see (at the time) him getting loads of game time here. Hopefully see him back here in a season or two.. -
We should offer him £140K a week, and a 5-year contract, with a £150M release clause.
-
Tbf, he needs one.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
Dan Gleebals replied to a topic in Football
Not fussed about this, represents 100% profit I guess for now and with a buy-back its win-win. The lad needs to play, and he is not getting game time here anytime soon. Good deal for him and us IMO,. -
Wow, some of these comments. The fucker has made it quite clear he wants to leave and has fucked us over. Any other result than sell, was not going to work. He has to go. Refusing to sell had no good outcome for us. We could hardly have him here stinking out the place. After 190m spent already, and possibly more tomorrow, we need a big sale whatever way you look at it. Time to move on and focus on the season, and not bash the club. Makes us look stupid, IMHO.
