  1. Spurs loss, or draw and 3 points for us would be incredible. 1 point of 4th as well!!!!!

    Nick Pope

7 games until the window opens, so plenty of time to see how Dubs is getting on. I would personally stick with what we have unless he is having a howler. Somehow I think he will really want to step up and prove himself again. The whole team is really playing for each other, so think he will give a good account of himself.

He has not played for a while no? Would take him a while to get up to speed. Really not sure on him personally.
  4. Great news. Is it me, or have players who were recently "back in training" then been back in the match day squad pretty quickly (i.e. what seems like only a few days for some). Clearly these guys do a lot of work behind the scenes before they even get back with the players, so should we assume the baseline fitness is there and the injury is healed before they do? I ask because we seem to have had a few recurring injuries or breakdowns pretty quickly after a returns recently. Hence, is this bad luck or are we bringing players back to soon (needs must)?
  5. Hard to see Burn or Targett getting back in the team now, bar injuries. This lad is unbelievably good.
  6. Got a feeling he is going to slot one tonight. Dream week for the kid that would be.
  7. Very hard to predict where we will end up. Injuries and then any business we might be able to do in January, will have a massive impact, as will the additional game in the CL and Cup. We could be well out of it with further injuries. December and January are monumental months in terms of Fixtures. By the end Jan we will have played Villa, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U and City at Home. Away - City, BHA, West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool and Villa. That equates to 50% of our first 22 games being against the top 7 from last year. So, going into Feb, our remaining 16 games look far easier than the first 22. IF we can win our next 3 home games against Manu, Fulham and Forrest and any kind of result against City - win against Everton and Luton away - and get any kind of result at Spurs, Liverpool and Villa, we should be in with a very good shout of top 5 this season... The next 2 months are massive really.
  8. Easy story that for the press. Not sure I would go anywhere him now. He seems more concerned about his image than his football. Thinks he has made it, when he still has a long way to go. I might be wrong, but he does not seem to have the EH attitude or mindset to do well here.
  9. Hopefully we held a bit back for a least one deal if needed.
  10. If we somehow win this tomorrow, and then against Bornemouth, what a run we will have had against some big teams, with pretty much half a squad. I cannot believe we are keeping this going despite loads of players out. No one is complaining, they just keep digging deeper and deeper. What Howe has done with these players in terms of team spirit and drive is completely mind blowing. If the lads can muster up a couple more wins, It will be astounding. Then we can hopefully get some players rested and fit again over the international break for another push!
  11. After last night, I think he has to use Hall more, especially if Burn is getting skinned/looks as shagged as he has in some games recently.
  12. There was a video of the lads coming back in after the game yesterday, and Bruno did appear to be grimacing a bit! Hopefully noting. Did wonder why we had to bring him on personally.
  13. If anyone is allowed a couple of off days, it's him. He has been incredible for us. We need Botman back, and he needs a break. Hopefully Tino plays at Manu.
  14. Dont think I have every been called a WUM in nearly 20 years of posting on here, and really not sure what I said that constitutes being a WUM. The fact that you just reply to people's posts telling them to to piss off, says it all really.
  15. I agree. However, think we have missed something here and it will cost us. Not convinced by him at all yet, and its going to be a long time to find out either way. We will try and fight this, bar some real evidence, it's going to be hard however.
  16. Great post. A lot to learn but we will, for sure.
  17. My prediction. He will be a great player for us, despite the doubts, and this will all prove to be a side show. I don't bet, but defo having a few quid on him at the weekend. Toonali
  18. Brilliant challenge. Gets that wrong by a split second and thats probably a red!!
  19. More like he is absolutely taking the piss. He will want to win it, and will bring some of the big guns on (who will be on the bench) if needed.
  20. Totally agree about Tripps, without doubt he has had the biggest impact and catalyst for other things to happen on a number of levels. Others as well. Regarding Botman, I guess I was saying when you consider eveything (age/fee/positon) he has been unreal, and very consistent with it. He sounded very disappointed with a draw in Milan. The lads a winner.
  21. Out of all our signings, he has been the most impressive IMO. Absolutely amazing for his age to come in and play like this at CB. Others might get the spotlight, but this kid is totally class.
  22. To a large extent, I think the pressure is off us for these CL games, and that should go in our favour. We have to go there and enjoy it and play without fear. No one is really expecting us to rip up trees, although some pundits think 2nd in the group is achievable. I personally think we can come second, and probably will. Sure Howe will be pushing Tonali for lots of insight for this. If we can get that intensity back that we have lacked in last couple of games, I am sure we can hurt them. Winning start for me.
