Smacks more of liverpool offering us a player (+cash) for Isak.. no thanks .
-
Get him on an improved contract ASAP, IMO. Make him our highest paid player, on world class money. Try and get a year or two extension. Then agree to a release clause, that relates to where we are in competions - in CL £180M, outside - £150M. Reality is, he will go at somepoint, and we probably need him to financiallly. Improve the contract and keep his value high, or accept he is going next summer, and keep it as it is. At the end of the day, we are not currently (I know the window only recently opened) looking particularly agreesive in the transfer market. That will almost certainly change, and deals will be done. But to keep someone like Isak, we need to show real progress and strength in depth after this window.

Put like that, the cheating scumbags seem like quite a good option. Not thought of it like that, and not sure what it says about the players.
-
No more than what we paid thats for sure.

He blew very hot a cold last season, IMO. Of all our better players, he is the one I would not mind going for very good money. Barnes did well last season in his place.
-
Would hardly say Brighton took us to the cleaners. £35M for a player with zero prem experience, is hardly a piss take. Granted he did well in Holland.
-
He really does not do it for me as a player. At £40M maybe, but not the crazy money we would have had to play last summer. He is not elite and error-prone, but I guess Howe would work on that.
-
All up for this. However, whats with all the keepers. Seriously. Trafford, Pope, Dubs, Greek + Gillespie and Ruddy. Madness. Guess at least 2 have to go from that list, most like dubs and the greek. I would keep pope, good to have 2 top keepers and keep the other 2 for training and so on. Think we could get 5-10M for Pope however?

A bit of folded in a brown envelope will sort that out.

Antonio 'Antoñito' Cordero (on loan at Westerlo)

Do every club release an interview of an 18 year old signing frow a lower league, in another country, ask such shit questions in an interview, and the post it like its a major big deal. Would be happy for none of this, just let the lad settle in/go on loan and take the pressure off. Hardly like he is walking straight into the squad! -
Fuck the result today, it does not matter. No point thinking about it. Brilliant season with limited resources and luck fell our way today. Enjoy the summer and hopefully we come back with a much stronger squad.
-
He won't go but for me is £70M minimum really. Then I would consider it.
-
Slot will no doubt get it. New manager, new league, big 6 etc. Could not give a fuck if he does. What Howe has achieved this year only really matters to us, the fans - the club. He should get it but I won't worry too much if he does not. Happy for us to keep growing quietly in the background
-
They get even more shit though.
-
I have not seen it, yet, but would not blame him if he was like that every week - such fucking dumb questions 95% of the time.
-
You would have thought all that extra revenue from the new ground would help. Maybe not when you are 16th in the league, and most likely have a shit load of debt to pay for the ground.
-
Wish all this DCL shit would stop. We need to be creative, take some risks, and do something different. DCL is a bruce/ashley signing.
-
I imagine the team (staff included) will be all out to achieve our goals as quickly as possible, so Eddie does not need to rush back. Stuff like this can have a galvanising effect. Hopefully, we can get the results and take the pressure off his return.
-
This kid is seriously impressive, words cannot do him justice. He is the complete player who will only get better, IMO. What do we think he is worth?
-
Other results should not bother us. It's in our hands. Simple as that. Focus on our game.
-
They have just sold their U21's to the hotel, following that the women's team bought them, but loaned them to the U18s, who were bought by the first team. So it's all good

My biggest issue with these rules is that the the fuckers who designed them, are so reluctant to apply them to every club (which agreed to them in the first place). It is so clear that certain clubs are more than taking the piss, yet they are getting away with it. ALL clubs should be punished if they break the rules, not just those who don't have the resources to come up with some elaborate schemes to avoid them. The more I think about it, I cannot fathom why everyone went along with it in the first place. Also, why aren't more clubs vocally calling the whole thing out as the shambles that it is?

I have said it before, but I hope we are creative in the summer with our new signings. By that, I mean we provide him with more options within the squad to adapt and change our tactics, which he has definitely shown he can do recently. Versatility within our system and approach would really help, and I would also prefer to look at younger, better-value players than paying over the odds for premier league players. Give Eddie the tools, and beyond doubt, he will deliver. To have achieved what he has so far is incredible. Imagine what 4-5 new players would offer him and the team. Big summer ahead.
