A gritty win I thought. Southampton had lots of huff+puff 2nd half, but we defended really well to a man and got the win. Not a classic, but a win. Schar is fucking stupid for being suckered in to doing what he did. With his experience - he should know far better.
-
Any chance on the PL overturning Schar's red on appeal?
-
Great finish from Big Jo. We've not been great - at all, mind.
-
Awful decision, but Schar only has himself to blame.
-
Ipswich could get done 4 or 5 here - everytime Liverpool go forward, they looks like scoring.

2-0 Salah

Ipswich 0 Liverpool 1 Jota

That's onside and should be a pen. Not onside apparently.

TalkShite - might as well be Man United's own club commentary. Poor.

Cabbage-heed doing co-comms on TalkShite.

Bound to be selected for TV. Hope our luck with cup draws doesn't continue into this season.

Happy Birthday, wee Al.

Ginola still looks as cool as fuck, mind! I know his spell here was short and he could at times be frustrating, but he got it in terms of buying into the club and the city. You can still see his eyes still burn bright where we are concerned.

Belter of an advert. Proper walk down memory lane!

2-2 draw for Blyth at Ashton Unites. North Shields lost 3-2 at West Allotment.

1990/91 and 1991-92 pre Keegan were bleak times. Skint and with the club in real danger of relegation and oblivion. But - I can say i was there. -

Andy Walker didn't look bothered, but went on to do very well at Bolton, afterwards. Was also Gavin Maguire, Tommy Gaynor and Dave Mitchell around that time - all appeared on loan. -

Jeff Wrightson made his debut in a 4-0 home battering by Everton (I was there) They had a great team at the time. Terry Wilson - got hooked at HT in KK's first game as boss - 3-0 win at home to Bristol City. -

The West Ham away game, when he had to go in goal and then come off because he had hurt himself! Peter Beardsley ended up in goal and we finished with 8 men, IIRC. That game wasn't Hedworth's fault, btw - but it's a memory that sticks out for me - listened to the 2nd half on Metro Radio. -

Yup - rivalry needs to be forgotten about with this. It's cheap point scoring and only emboldens the racists further. Got to stand together - Newcastle, Sunderland, Boro, etc.

Tommy Cassidy passed away, apparently. An NUFC stalwart during the mid-late 70's (just before my time)

We've needed a young striker with potential, for a good while now. As others have said, the lad will get game time, given Isak and latterly Wilson's injury record.
