I was at Teesside Uni 92-96 and used to live in the shadows of old Ayresome Park for a couple of years - Bush Street and Chester Street.

Another defeat for Spartans yesterday - 2-1 at home to Emley. Ashington got a 0-0 draw at Grimsby Borough.

Helluva win for them today. They are where they are on merit.

Another captains performance tonight.

Two brilliant finishes in his cameo off the bench. Given Eddie something to think about.

Excellent win for Blyth. Been a cracking night

Good shift at centre-forward today. His hold up play, movement and technique is terrific. He's also not afraid to put himself about!

Big night under the lights. Gonna go for a 2-1 win to us. -
Just reading that apparently, Stuart Pearce's 21 year old son as been killed in a tragic accident - involving a tractor.

0-0 draw at home for Spartans v Emley.

Howe will sort this out. Qualifying for the CL this season was always gonna be a long shot on the back of the Isak business, IMO. Mind - some of our bigger players are off form and have been for a while.

He will come good. Out of form, which will come in time. Needs a spell on the bench.

Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Newcastle United (18/10/25)

Bogey side (and a good team) strikes again. We looked much better when Murph and Barnes came on - more threatening and better end product. Elanga looks short on form and probs needs a spell out of the side. Big Nick took his goal superbly, but he was let down by a lack of support from our misfiring first choice wingers. Disappointed, but hey ho. Much to improve on for Benfica on Tuesday night. MoM - hard to say. No one really stood out. -

As some others have said, this is going to be something of a season of transition for the club and the side - after losing Isak. Lack of goals and attacking play is a wee concern, but it will get sorted. -

Tailed off after a competitive first 30mins. Lack of attacking threat again, down either wing. Brighton also breaking our lines too easily. Gordon and Elanga look short of form and have done so for a while, -
This one is on their mentalist owner.
